It was our first city break. It not far from cologne but can be a bit pricey on train fair for family of 3. Kerpen is a lovely quite little town a few shops, a couple of stop away from cologne on the train.

The location, peace and tranquillity were excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was lovely, though possibly a bit pricey. If you want a secluded, peaceful location for a relaxed break, this is a place I'd happily recommend.

This is the nicest modern hotel that we have experienced in Germany. The facilities are pristinely clean, and very well appointed with a bottle of water, coffee machine with pods, and everything one would need for the bathroom. The staff is extremely accommodating, the breakfast was generous, and the attached restaurant delicious for a late supper.
