Very clean and well-equipped. Our host was very attentive and thoughtful while giving us privacy. She provided us with whatever we asked for and didn't thin about (she remembered that a mug was broken, and got us a replacement). We had a few minor Wi-Fi issues twice, and she was on top of it within less than 20 minutes. We loved the separation of our building from the main house, providing privacy while having assistance nearby. The bathroom was top-notch (US) hotel quality with rainfall shower, heated towel rack etc. The down comforters were ultra-warm and thick, and we actually got pretty warm at night while the temperatures were at freezing point outside, due to the fact that the heater was set to 18,5 deg C. We would have loved to have a BBQ and use the terrace, which was very inviting. The weather didn't allow us to do so...

I never give 10 points because I believe there is always room to improve, but this place amazed me. From the size of the room up to the comfort inside, the hotel is fantastic. Thank you to the host, a wonderful lady who prepared a fantastic breakfast too. It is perfect for a couple who want to stay in a familiar environment with easy access to the rest of the city.

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay at Hotel Wessel. The hosts were lovely and caring. They found time to chat with us and made us feel like family. They greeted us with a glass of local beer. The guesthouse and the restaurant were nicely decorated with interesting antique items. Almost like being in a museum! The facilities were clean and comfortable. Local specialties served. The room had everything you might possibly need during your stay. The breakfast was delicious.

We absolutely loved our stay. The property was modern and clean. The location was very convenient for us. It's very close to both the airport and the bus and S-Bahn. The rooms were very comfortable and we had an amazing view that we were not expecting. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

This hotel has all-inclusive resort vibes because of the Grand lobby and large buffet restaurant. It's only 1 year old, everything smells brand new. Thanks to Lulu for the warm welcome at the reception, and to Vladimir for excellent dinner service. 10/10

I had the most beautiful stay at this hotel in Koln. The view of the city was breathtaking. I particularly liked the Chapelle and entryway. The staff were incredibly cool and helpful, making me feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying, providing the perfect start to my day. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Koln.

I felt like a Queen in this magic, bigger-than-life, palatial palace. The room was big and roomy, breakfast had plenty of selections. Was going to have dinner in the Dali bar because we were hungry but since there was a conference going on, it felt under-staffed so we left and didn't get to experience it.

Small village, one needs a car to get around for food runs...

Small village, one needs a car to get around for food runs as there aren't any major supermarkets or bakeries. Busy main street close by, but windows are sound-proof. All within the Koenigsforst, a large forest, so air quality is good, and there is plenty of hiking around. Public bus transportation is close, and it is very reliable and runs pretty frequently. A few good restaurants for the weekend city slicker invasions.
