Beautiful little inn in a beautiful little town. Everything was wonderful. The breakfast was amazing and the dinners in their restaurant were the best in our whole vacation. Don't miss out on eating there. You will be so glad you did. And the staff was so friendly. Definitely a high point on our journey.

Lovely hotel on the island and just steps from everything. The family that run the business are so kind and helpful, and their toddler daughter is a delight. The rooms are modern and comfortable. We loved having an abudance of plugs in so many places--so rare in an old building. We slept great on the comfy bed.

The view and proximity to everything was amazing. The staff were friendly and communicated wonderfully. The balcony overlooking the lake and promenade was so beautiful and relaxing. We payed for parking through the hotel, and it's really close...just a few short blocks away, and easy to follow directions from the hotel staff were extremely helpful.

Everything! The owner was extremely courteous and helpful, and you could just tell the whole family who owned the hotel took great pride in it. Breakfast in the sunroom was so very nice, and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. I loved that it was an older building but very updated.

    We are in our 70s and like to feel safe where we stay and have things to do. We hired bikes and really enjoyed the area. No problem renting electric bikes just around the corner from our accommodation

    Wonderful atmosphere in the port the evening we got there as...

    Wonderful atmosphere in the port the evening we got there as there had been a regatta. Lots of street food vans and restaurants. Fabulous ice cream from Jean & Jacques! We went back the next morning to have another walk round the place in day time and visited the Hundertwasser Foundation (small exhibition but well worth seeing) followed by a pleasant outdoor lunch at the Alte Post hotel/restaurant before getting back on the road.

    We love this town.

    We love this town. It is our 3rd visit (& we're from Australia)! It's lovely wandering along the waterfront & through the pedestrian zone. We also like walking all the way from Lindau-Reutin to the island. There are many options for different excursions.

    It is a cosy and calm port-town with a medieval charm.

    It is a cosy and calm port-town with a medieval charm. It is also well-connected to other towns/cities from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein via train. It's a good idea to use Lindau as a base, and to visit several places from there.

    Small medieval town with plenty of interesting streets, access to lake for swimming and boating, good range of restaurants, cafes and ice cream. Good bus and train links into the main town and further afield.

    The port area is bustling with tourists and events, and you can definitely enjoy your time there. Don't forget to visit the calmer beachside of the lake near the Spielplatz. You can enjoy the cool wind with sun there and, if adventurous, also a swim. Lindau island is not so big. You can make a round trip easily in a day. Don't hurry up, enjoy the sceneries, may be a boat ride. I would like to give a shout-out Helin Döner & Pizza. We just loved the Döner there, definitely worth trying. I forgot my water shoes, I would be definitely taking them for my next trip.

    Fantastic apartment, situated right in the centre of Lindau Insel pedestrian zone. Three separate rooms, lovely high ceilings, well furnished, well equipped kitchen. 2 minutes walk to supermarket and restaurants. The owner Mark was extremely helpful. He met us to give us the keys, showed us around the apartment, helped with our luggage and gave us some details about Lindau. The town itself is beautiful, lots to do and plenty of day trips to other towns along the lake, by car or boat.

    It is not a 4* hotel, but is an excellent ratio value/price. Location is perfect to visit Lindau island by foot, very calm. Masstress is comfortable. Room was very clean, with all minimum vonfort you expect from an hotel (Private bathroom, a small frig, comfortable bed, cupboard....)
