It's a small town away from the busy city centre of Dusseldorf. Its a town that is full of its own history and heritage. English not commonly spoken here but they will understand you. A town that is full of arts & culture such as "CLEMEN SELS MUSEUM & CHURCH"..if its something that you are looking for. Transportation coverage is quite good. A town that has both cultural and modern amenities to look for. Culturally; there are museums and famous old buildings that you can see. Modern...there are places that you can shop such as a mall and some shops that offer products at an affordable pricing. Bring your own bag to keep the stuff you bought as no bags are given for your purchase. Its very quiet on SUNDAYS with 90% of the shops and malls are closed. Just few eateries that is open and probably will be closed by about 4pm on sunday. Most days..the town will come alive around 10am and sleeps by 5pm. So plan your day there well. Do look out for the clock songs that will play in the afternoon. there are 2 buildings that has a clocks with bells that sings & rings. I tried some pastry at this "OEBEL CAFE". i tried the bacon&egg sandwich ...and its tasty. The reviews from other guests were not so positive so we were mentally prepared. The hotel probably had seen better days. The rooms are old. We did not get any of the rooms as shown in the photos. There were no funky/mouldy smell, sheets and bathroom were clean too. Which is important. The water pressure for the shower is great too. We arrived late and left early.
