Centrally located in Straslund’s Old Town, this hotel is only a 3-minute walk from the Ozeaneum Aquarium. It offers bright rooms with free Wi-Fi access and a buffet breakfast. The bar staff was very helpful and accommodating when we're got there after hours, even with a serious language barrier. The rooms were very nice and clean!
This UNESCO-listed, 4-star hotel in Stralsund offers a spa area, 4 dining areas, and modern rooms with free internet. The Old Town district is 328 feet away. Staff was excellent and charming to us and our child. Very family friendly hotel. Spa services were wonderful. Breakfast and coffee was great. Staff did an excellent birthday cake and table setting on our son's birthday. Many thanks! Soy milk and yogurt were available on request and the breakfast buffet had vegan options, for those interested.
This hotel is a historic building beside the harbor in Stralsund. It offers a historic façade and a clear view of Stralsund’s Old Town, the Strelasund waterway and and the island of Rügen. Beautiful views of the harbor from our room. Quiet lcation though along a busy street during the day. Close to restaurants and walking distance to sights in town.
Facing a quiet forest on the edge of town, this hotel offers charming, modern rooms. Free WiFi access is available in public areas and some rooms. Hotel was an easy 15 minute walk from the town waterfront and old town. Room was very large as was the bathroom. We didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on that. Despite my limited German, and the staff's limited English, we managed to converse just fine. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel if you plan to visit Stralsund.
Pension Zur Fährbrücke is located in Stralsund, just 328 feet from Stralsund Harbor. Each room here will provide you with a TV and a mini-bar. Location is excellent. Free parking. This historic warehouse in Stralsund offers rooms with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. It is located directly on the harbor, next to the town center. Lovely hotel to stay in to explore Stralsund and Rugen. Cool furnishings and very comfy beds. Nice restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. Great location by the harbour.

This historic, family-run hotel stands opposite Stralsund Train Station, just a 3-minute walk from the historic Old Town. It features a café with summer terrace. It was easy to find (in front of the train station) and the beds were really comfortable.
This hotel, located on the outskirts of Stralsund, offers free WiFi, a buffet breakfast and free on-site parking. Bible near bad. We was surprised, cause I never saw it in the other hotels. Original.
I was there in the shoulder season. It was a bit chilly in mid May, and the tourism season won’t probably start till it gets warmer. It was quitet and relaxing, and yet there was a lot to see! And the sights are authentic, since this part of Germany is not run over by mass tourism. A great base to visit Rugen Island. I took a day trip there using trains and buses; Konigssthul, then hiked in rain and mist all the way to Sassnitz, then to Binz. If you have seen Berlin, Munich and Hamburg and want to see more of Germany, especially off the beaten path, come visit Stralsund and Rugen!
This was our second visit to Stralsund. There appear to be some more restaurants having opened especially at the harbour in the last four years. It is an ideal place for exploring the area with good transport links. The nautical history of the city is heavily promoted as you would expect, the sailing ship Gorc Foch is worth a visit. The Oceaneum is perhaps the best attraction for all ages especially when the weather is indifferent. For those who like architecture there is plenty to see. For those who like a place a bit away from the hustle and bustle then Stralsund is worth a visit.
The "Altstadt" is very pretty. There are a lot of museums, of which I recommend Meermuseum and Stralsund museum. Ozeaneum is a must! For relaxation I recommend "Hansedom" wellness center. And for younger people I recommend "Salsarico Tex Mex Cantina" not just for food but also for a good time(from 10 o'clock until 3 in the morning there are several happy hours, each with a different kind of cocktail;) ).
Beautiful old buildings, churches, history all around. Food - if you like pickled herring and wonderful local food, smoke fish, beer, sausage, etc. you've got it! Dinner at Fisherman's was very nice, good quality food. Nice town to wander around in. Nearby the migrating cranes were a sight (and sound) to behold.
It's beautiful Hanseatic town that was a very important trading area. There is a lot of history and it is very picturesque. It is not your usual American tourist stop so English is not heard frequently. It was not a problem for us though. We were able to make do with our Google translator. The food was good, and the beer was great. Go onto the island of Rugen, which is very close and head to Binz to see the Baltic Sea. There is also a national park (Jasmund) that has great hiking. It's about an hour drive from Stralsund, but worth it.
I went for a sport event so did mainly walking around the town when I could. It has a lovely charm. Good for a 2-3 nights stay if you want to do a bit of sightseeing/ museums. Great to walk by the sea.

We really enjoyed our stay; we had two rooms both were clean and comfortable. We also had booked for breakfast and this was really nice, fresh and well worth the money we paid. Staff was helpful, my German is non existent but they had a good understanding of English so we made out really well. During our stay we went further north to the island and had a great time. Driving around Rügen was delightful. I don’t have the map in front of me so I may have spelled the name wrong, sorry. I have no complaints about our hotel...👍

Very spacious apartment in a residential neighborhood of Stralsund, with easy walking distance to both the harbor area in one direction and the market/pedestrian center in the other. Loved the many framed pictures of the city that kept us aware of the beauty of the area while we were just relaxing in the apartment.

Excellent location, modern furniture, clean and quiet place. I travelled with my teenagers, we enjoyed the kitchen (for our breakfasts - everything is there), short walk to ozeaneum, to the sea and to all the shops and cafés in Stralsund. Perfect for long evenings. Easy communication/instructions. Thank you.

It is a good bit out from the city centre but suited us perfectly as we visited relatives nearby. Great to have HanseDom attaches to it and shopping mall beside it! Rooms are clean and very spacious. Cleaning staff (young Romanian man) was super friendly.

An excellent apartment, right in the centre of town, in a lovely building. There were restaurants outside the front door, and many more within a few minutes walk. Our apartment was large, airy and very comfortable. Well-equipped kitchen and a very large walk-in wardrobe. The reception staff at the hotel were very helpful when we checked in, and directed us to the apartment which was near the hotel building. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a unique property- an old railroad office building. More like a dorm. I found it difficult to wedge into the middle bunk bed cause I’m getting old. You have to make your own bed and it’s kind of bare bones but I’d recommend it as long as you are not planning on 5 stars. Location is great!
