Breakfast was great, plentiful with meats, cheeses, fruits, hard boiled eggs and more. Seating was community style. Casual pace and not too loud. Walking the grounds was beautiful and safe, day and night!

Loved the location. Loved the restaurant. Greeted upon arrival by Julianne. Highly recommended for those embarking or disembarking from an AmaWaterways Cruise. It's very close, less than a 5-minute walk to the ship.

    We were there to meet our river cruise boat. An interesting, historic and pretty small town with good walks by the Danube. Italian restaurant near to the tall clock tower was very good. One night would be fine.

    This is a gem of a hotel. It’s not really a conventional hotel at all but a hundreds of years old monastery nestled on a hill overlooking large expanses of fields and ponds. My room was magnificent (ask for Bishop Zimmers room) with sweeping view, architecture to die for and plenty of walking paths and an on premises restaurant. (Closed Mondays). It’s VERY quiet and this huge property is 15 minutes walk down into the village below. A real find!

    Very tradition and location right in the middle of town. Simon and Katerina were fabulous hosts. The hotel is very old - has been a pub since the 1500’s so was very charming and traditional. We would stay again.

    Great place to stay in the small town of Vilshofen. The inn is walking distance to the river boat docking station. The hotel was clean and adequate. There are steps to navigate and there is no elevator.

    Charming hotel in a small town. We only stayed one night as we were boarding a river cruise the following day. Had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the next day. Food was excellent
