Typical frontline sea side town. Great to walk along the beach, but take into account it is not a dog friendly beach. Many properties on the frontline are tired, making it feel a little run down. A little TLC would not go a miss. There are hotels and self catering apparments, with sufficient super markets in the neighbourhood at a short drive, just a bit to far to walk. There is a good array of cafes and restaurants, of mixed quality and price as can be expected. It is the perfect location to relax as there were not that many people like in other areas we visited - Sitges was crazy busy, Tarragona as well. The beach and water are very clean and there are plenty of places to eat or shop. It has great connections to airport, to Barcelona & other smaller locations along the beach. Comarruga, San Salvador etc. are one of the best kept secrets of the Golden Coast (Costa Dorada). Forget going north of Barcelona, this is the place to be! The people are very friendly and the beaches are fabulous. Prices are good too! The apartment is located in a small village with nice beach and bars and restaurants. But if needed bigger cities like Barcelona or Tarragona are in driving distance. The Apartment itself is very clean and very well equipped. The rooftop was amazing with Seaside view. In addition the pool was great to use and never to crowded. The room was nice, the beds were a little smaller than we expected. The hotel is frequented more by local guests and less by foreigners. The sea is very close, the thermal water canal that flows into the sea in front of the hotel is a super-safe place to swim and build sandcastles, even for the smallest children.
