The area is good as a base to visit the Island as it is close to the airport and harbour, well conected and easy to find park space. It has restaurants and supermarkets nearby and two beaches. There was nothing I could complain about. Nice view from the hotel room in La Palma hotel part on the 3. floor. Friendly personal during breaktfest time and at the pool bar. Los Cancajos is a small beach resort just 5km from the airport and 9km from the historic capital of Santa Cruz de La Palma. There are three beaches which adjoin each other so you can try out each one or even swim/snorkel between them. There is a good choice of excellent restaurants and a regular bus service. It's also an ideal place from which to explore the rest of La Palma as it is located midway along the east coast and with quick access to roads heading north, south and across to the wes. The host left us a bottle of Cava which was a nice surprise too. The terrace was great for breakfast in the morning & had a brilliant view. Short walk to Los Cancajos Beach and restaurants.
