The bedroom was spacious and clean.

The bedroom was spacious and clean. However the headboard of the bed could do with being replaced. There was a coffee machine, teabags and coffee were provided which was nice. But there were only coffee espresso cups, not suitable for use with teabags. There was also no kettle to boil water for the tea. The coffee pods were not replaced daily. Breakfast was excellent and a very good choice. The only other disappointment i had was that i took part in the Gran Fondo Contador event. When i finished i was told it was too late to get a token for free pasta and beer which was being served at the hotel. When I came back to the hotel it was still being served.

We stayed at the Platja d'Oliva, which was a beautiful, clean beach with soft golden sand and warm, shallow sea. We were there at the beginning of September so the beach was quiet with no crowds. It was not a particularly touristy spot so no rows of sun loungers and parasols. We only visited the town of Oliva twice, seemed nice but just a normal town not necessarily for tourists. We spent a couple of evenings at Denia marina and would recommend The Red Zone restaurant that served great Thai curry. We would also recommend Altea and Valencia for day visits.

Lovely sandy beaches, running for several km so not at all crowded. Note that parking is limited, and that, although there are plenty of café type places, there are fewer places for a full meal along most of the beach strip. The old town is typically Spanish, with few tourists, and lots of places to eat and drink well at "local prices". Not much remains of the ruined castle, but it's worth the climb for the views over the town and out to sea.

We were based in Oliva Nova 2 miles from Oliva, plenty of good restaurants and a supermarket, large long Sandy beach with beach side cafe. Large equestrian centre with full facilities. Good road links to neighbouring resorts. Golf coarse.

Oliva feels like a typical Spanish beach town.

Oliva feels like a typical Spanish beach town. Not too touristy and without the high-rise tower blocks of other areas. In Feb, the beach is quiet, perfect for peaceful walks. The old town has some picturesque spots, but the modern area of town is unremarkable.

We fell in love with Oliva.

We fell in love with Oliva. The old town is very romantic, winding streets, old houses, two beautiful churches and the charming St. Roch Square. The newer part is full of bars and restaurants, the beaches are not far away within walking distance (2 - 3 km) wide and sandy. Many options for shopping, shops are closed on Sundays. A water canal runs through the town, where many turtles and waterfowl live. There is a large bird sanctuary near Oliva. A little further on is Font Salada - a little thermal lake, where you can swim together with fish and a few ducks. The water is crystal clear.

The staff is absolutely stunning. The hotel is a 4 Star not 5(in some places at the hotel you can see they are still selling like a 4,they lost the fifth one). You can see small details that need to be improved. But the staff is amazing. Buffet is good. The olivo restaurant is really expensive, the bar (burger, sandwiches,etc is so so)

The apartment was super clean when we arrived and contact with the host was short and to the point. Which we absolutely enjoy. The bed is excellent, which is a huge win for Oliva.
