Set in the peaceful town of Olvera, this rustic hotel is located on Andalucía's Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos, or White Villages Route. Its rooms feature balconies with views of Olvera Castle. We went to Olvera to meet up with some friends, so we were interested in staying next to the Feria, so location was perfect! It’s further away from the castle. Staff is lovely. The pool is great and the restaurant is really good!
Located in Olvera in the Andalucía Region, 14 mi from Ronda, Hotel Meson Fuente del Pino features a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the mountains. Absolutely fantastic. Great service as we arrived after check in hours. Staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome. Staff were helpful with organising our trip of Via Verdes de Siera and also Taxi service. Hotel is perfectly clean. Meals are delicious. Facilities are great. The staff all work very hard over long hours and maintain professional and friendly approach 100% of the time. We have had such a memorable stay. Thankyou to all of the staff.
Hotel - Restaurante Estación Vía Verde features free WiFi throughout the property and views of mountain in Olvera. Liked the location and the views. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The check in was friendly, fast and easy. The food in the restaurant on site was good and a good value.
Located in Olvera, 17 mi from Zahara de la Sierra, No 31 Bed & Breakfast features a shared lounge and free WiFi. The hosts are incredible! Beautiful, peaceful location and spotlessly clean. There's a lovely terrace where you can relax and have breakfast with great views of the castle.
Set in Olvera, 9.3 mi from Setenil, Casa Vagón Vía Verde de la Sierra offers a restaurant and free WiFi. Excellent place to stay. Quiet, friendly, clean and convenient. Lovely apartment with lots of space, well equipped and air conditioning. Great restaurant and lovely pool. Highly recommended. We will be back.
Hostal Medina is located in Olvera, within the natural setting of the Sierra de Cádiz Mountains. The bus station and the Via Verde de la Sierra Route are a few yards away. Extremely close to the bus station and near the road to the via verde/Green route. It's quiet in the rooms which is great as the road is often busy
Olvera is the perfect Pueblo Blanco. It has everything and the locals are helpful and friendly, Beautiful old buildings, a huge church and a castle and museum at the top of the hill. The views are out of this world. Local restaurants serve great local dishes and at great value for money. You will love Olvera.
Fantastic, clean town.... beautiful views of the surrounding countryside... lots of narrow streets and unexpected vistas... I was surprised that everywhere seemed to close very early, there were few options to eat out at night....but maybe it was the time of year....
The view is wonderful. Lots of places to walk, although the hills can be a challenge. A good place from which to explore the other white hill towns. Remember, restaurants often don't open for evening meals until 8, 8.30 pm. But there is a good Mercato in town.
The Old town is very pretty with limited traffic. People were very friendly. If you are a light sleeper you need to be careful that where you stay isn't too near the church at the top because it chimes all the way through the night. The old town has a bit of a problem with dogs messing the streets. I thought this must be just Spain, but the problem wasn't there anywhere else I went.
I would highly recommend Juanito Gomez for dinner/breakfast/lunch!! fabulous food, wine and tapaz, my kids loved the pinchos. Our trip was the last week in August and there was a big festival in town for the whole week (annual event) so we had something to do with the kids every night. There is also a fantastic picnic area with lagoon for swimming twenty minutes away by car in Zarah its a lovely way to spend a day with the kids.
The town is a beautiful white village with a lovely Moorish Castle and a wonderful church. The streets and old town and very typical and well kept. The restaurants are good and have a variety of local produce. It is easy to walk around Olvera but it is a steep climb to the top of the Castle.
