Hotel Colón, hotel in Ronda

Located next to La Merced Square, this hotel is 623 feet from Ronda’s Bullring, in the historic town of Ronda. Hotel Colón offers rooms with air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Highly recommended. Affordable, family owned hotel. What an amazing stay at Hotel Colon in Ronda, with a very warm welcome and exceptional service from both Carmen and Anna. I felt sad to leave. I was travelling alone and took a single room. It was spotlessly cleaned, ac worked perfectly with a Juliet balcony. Bath gel, shampoo conditioner, hair dryer, fridge, desk, cupboard ample room for a single room, towels, everything you could want and more. They have double rooms with a walkout balcony and great views. Bienvenido Ronda message on the mirror. A walk-in shower and elevator for people with disabilities. The hotel is very centrally located across the park with the spectacular views, next to the bullring and Punte Nuevo. The breakfast in the morning was a fruit cup, orange juice, 2 toast which were huge, butter, 2 types of jam, crushed tomatoes, pate sachets of pork, chorizo, beef. A fried egg. Coffee. Refills on coffee and juice. I don’t think these ladies sleep from the time they get up in the morning with the special attention to guests at the hotel while running the restaurant as well. Muchos Gracias Carmen and Anna for the excellent stay at your hotel.

I would say you need 1.5 days to see sights of Ronda at a reasonable pace. We utilised Ronda as a base to visit other places which were only short drives away: Setenil de las Bodegas, Olvera, Acinipo and Zahara. All of which were memorable as Ronda. Favourite place to eat in Ronda by far is Taperia San Francisco, amazing local bar with fabulous food at a very reasonable price

Very enjoyable. Everything you want in a 5 minute walk. Spectacular views. Restaurants on the same street excellent for quality, service and atmosphere. The Alhambra was our favourite. If you want to have an average meal for 4 with spectacular views over the gorge, expect for an average meal with a bottle of wine and a gin and tonic for starters around 75 euros each.

There is so much to see and do in Ronda.

There is so much to see and do in Ronda. It can be very sun intensive in the afternoon, so may I suggest sightseeing at the bridge and bullring before the tour buses arrive around 11am. There are many parks with shade and picnic seats, all with views. The Casa Museo don Bosco has a lovely terrace and garden with a small cafe, wine and snacks, on the side of the gorge with spectacular views. A short walk along the street takes you to a lovely park. Walking is so lovely in the evening and so many restaurant options.

This is the best hotel we stayed in while we were visiting Spain. It was perfect and exceeded all of our expectations. The room was comfortable and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. What stood out the most to us was the staff, especially Pablo. Pablo went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and we cannot thank him enough, he is one of the nicest people we have ever met while traveling and we are very grateful to have met him and to have gotten to stay at this hotel. 100% recommend and thank you again Pablo! :)
