The pictures of the bridge spanning the deep gorge don’t convey the integration of architecture with the highly complex cragginess of the profoundly deep gorge. It’s stunning. And with the progression of the gorge on both sides there are endless different views as you ascend and descend on the two sides. It really brings you to a sense of the sublime in a relatively confined physical space. And then there’s the charming town on the top, full of people enjoying themselves with the mundane pleasures of the day with this aweful reality just feet away.
Beautiful Spanish historic old town. If you like to walk , this is the place. Beautiful views, the people are friendly, and good food. Have to go to the roof of the Santa Maria la Mayor Church around noon to heard the bells and enjoy the views. Enjoy it!
Ronda is incredible! Even though it is place tourists will go, it never really seems to be that crowded. It's up in the mountains, away from the huge tourist crowd farther south, near the Mediterranean. We rode the bus from Marbella and the scenery going up is beautiful. Road twists and turns, so always something to see. Ronda, although located up in the mountains, has a huge beautiful valley all around. The views are the highlight of Ronda. Lots of cobblestone streets to wonder through whether eating or shopping. Read up on Ronda so you get to know a little more of the history. It makes it more interesting when you get there.
I loved Ronda! Take a via ferrata with al andalus activa if you like climbing cliffs. I enjoyed listening to the Spanish guitarist in the park. Ronda is at a higher elevation so it is cooler. Get lost in the little streets. I enjoyed the walk down the "mine." And I really liked the cafe for a drink of sangria after climbing up all those steps.
Pastoral and idyllic. Not many American travelers, which makes you feel like you’ve got a bit off the beaten path (a great feeling). Easy to get around all the sites and old town by foot and quickly. Small town but big city amenities. Local wine is delicious. Recommend eating at la lechugita and maravellosa Have a drink at sunset at the rooftop bar of the hotel across from the bullring - you can get a great view without actually visiting the bullring! Good shopping at all the Spanish shops Stay at Salvatierra Guesthouse
Lovely city full of history. Lots to see and do, lots of good shops and restaurants.. we visited several museums which were very good. The views from the bridge over the gorge are incredible. BeUtiful city in a beautiful setting.

The hotel is about 15 min.walking from the bridge and main points of interest. The hotel is located in front of a train station. We stayed there for 2 nights and didn’t hear any noise. The hotel doesn’t have parking but you can park at the train station for €9 for the whole day.The hotel was very quiet ,spacious room, comfortable bed and very good shower. We had breakfast included in the price which is rare for Spain.Breakfast was coffee, toast and orange juice, very traditional of the area and all super fresh.Night receptionist was excellent.

An absolute gem of a place. Peaceful and gorgeous with picture postcard views of the mountains from the garden and swimming pool. The owners, John and Carol, certainly look after you and nothing seems too much trouble. We were a couple of right numpties and they got us out of a hole on more than one occasion. So if you're looking for a beautiful, boutique hotel in the heart of old town, a place that offers that personal touch, don't look any further than the Monasterio del Carmen. It's really perfect.

Without doubt the best hotel we have stayed at in Spain. From the moment you drive up you know it’s special, the staff are outstanding, everywhere is spotlessly clean, we used the Spa, pool and bar and again perfect. The location could not have been better just a slow 10 mins stroll to town. To top it all off, the views, we were upgraded to rooms that look over the pool and Tajo Gorge, the views were stunning at all times of the day. We are already planning a trip back.

During our holiday where we travelled around Spain this was the best hotel we have stayed in. Our first experience in Barcelona was not good but this was amazing. Staff were fantastic & helpful, room was ideal & spacious, pool, breakfast & location perfect. I left the hotel & whilst at airport I realised I’d left my wedding ring at hotel - a quick phone call to Andriex had it sorted & returned to me without a problem. A very good hotel !!!

Very nice staff. Location in the middle of the fields. Views from the rooms and around the hotel. Good air-conditioning in the room. Even though they are low on Star rating and it's the first year they're open, it doesn't feel like a cheap or bad hotel. It feels like a luxury hotel that is just missing some of the features that would grant it more stars. For example: no TV in the room, no evening restaurant...

Well, the obvious draw of this hotel is it's view from the rooms, restaurants, swimming pool... It's just amazing but the interior is very pleasant too. The reception staff were very helpful with directions and with parking the car and the room was comfortable and cozy (that's not estate agent jargon for tiny either). Obviously, given the view it's location is very good too.

The staff was nice and helpful, her English was really good which is not so common in this part of Spain. We arrived too early but we were kindly allowed to leave our luggage in the lobby and as a nice surprise, we got two vouchers for two persons as a welcome present. We liked the room and the bathroom, the accomodation was nice, clean and not expensive.

Fantastic little hotel within walking distance from everything you need in Ronda, I.e bus station, train station, the bridge and the main restaurant streets. We really appreciated the small touches in the room like the tea and coffee and toiletries. Rooftop deck is also a lovely bonus. Will definitely be staying here again.

The hotel is an oasis in which one could relax for days, has excellent food, view, pool, rooms...and the true highlight is outstanding owners that generously share ideas and time. We found this to be an excellent location for a day in Ronda, exploring white towns, hiking and unexpectedly exploring caves. Delicious food so we chose to eat at the hotel most nights
