Although it might seem impossible, Santa Eularia des Riu is the perfect spot to have a more relaxed atmosphere without completely forgetting that you’re still on Ibiza. Walk up the winding streets to reach the top of Puig de Missa hill, where the fortified church that used to offer refuge from pirates can still provide a relaxing vantage point to look over the crystalline sea. The popular markets of Es Canar and Sant Carles are reminiscent of the times when the area became a hippie mecca.

If asked I would give Santa Eulalia the thumbs up It is a pretty resort with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Shops are plentiful too with some nice independent clothes retailers to browse and the harbour is nice to walk,eat and drink at. Also, a first rate ferry service is there with enough trips for all.

Over all lovely location but the issue I had with my room with lights not being able to turn off having to sleep with them was not good enough at all still awaiting a reply on this issue. Hotel was perfect location at the end of the marina at the sea side. Easy flat walk to town, lots of local bars, eating places and affordable. We got free tapas with every drink, so next morning has a sore head. Went to town every day... never enjoyed a sore head so much.

A few walking trails to be found using local maps . Bus station east to use and access to island at low cost .

Not really a family destination as there’s nothing for children to do . It’s a working town shops cafes restaurants with a couple of beaches . I would say it’s worth a day visit only .This is if you have children to entertain.

It was a great base to stay in.
It was a great base to stay in. There is a ferry at the harbour you can buy a pass which you can use to go to other beaches and Ibiza town; a more pleasant option than using the bus and you see the Island from a different view. The only complaint is that the restaurants were quite expensive compared to other Spanish destinations we have stayed. Car rental was easy and we would recommend hiring a car for a couple of days to visit the rest of the Island. A great stay.DeborahUnited Kingdom
