Santiago is a beautiful city. It's old center town is magical, straight out of a story book from the middle ages. Getting around the old town is easy once you get used to it. It's tempting to say there are too many peregrines in Santiago and there are. But Santiago wouldn't be the same without them we visit Santiago every year as a chilling out restful end to our summer vacation in Vigo. We walked the Camino for the 2nd time so Santiago will always hold a special place with us. There is nothing like finally arriving after hundreds of miles and finally walking into the square~ Was able to go to Mass and witness the Botafumeiro and did the tour of the roof. The church was huge and beautiful. I felt great to be in Santiago de Campostela after the Camino Walk. There was a restaurant that served all you can eat and they had good BBQ beef & pork. It was a little chilly in the city but it was a relief after the long walk.Guest review bymajuvyUnited States
