The property had everything right - the facilities were excellent, the room was quite and dark - we slept better here than every other property during our trip to Spain, restaurant was the only one open at night and had decent vegetarian options, parking facilities were sufficient, 10 mins walk from Setenil cave village.

The location, we did park the car a up on the road for the night have a few clothes with us and leave the suitcases in the trunk of the vehicle , not carrying if you want to stay in the center of towns is usually what needs to get done ✅, we love the place :) it was a beautiful town .

The rocks were embedded in the living room and one bedroom. It was so refreshing and cool, felt like you were living in a cave. The space had such a cute personality and very clean. The living room table and kitchen had everything we needed, we had dinner at home. And netflix on the tv. The owner was very thoughtful and helped us find parking as we got stuck in a narrow street along the way. He also showed us where to eat! Thanks Alex! 10/10 would recommend and stay again if we ever come back!

A very interesting place to visit.

A very interesting place to visit. Very busy with tourists in the day but these people disbursed at night. Moving around Setenil is a challenge, it is very hilly with lots of winding cobbled streets. We stayed overnight but on reflection we should have just gone for the day and stayed in Ronda overnight. At 19:00 there was only one bar open to eat which we thought was odd although another couple of bars opened at 20:00. The night atmosphere wasn't as good as we experienced in the day with the sun, shops and bars all open and the hustle of people mooching about. A nice place, Worth the visit

We were there on a very busy weekend and so we went to the neighbouring town of Olvera. We really enjoyed the town on Sunday night when the crowds left and I’m sure it can be quite lovely during the week.

Setenil is a unique place because of its cave houses, shops, bars and restaurants located under rock. Its a great place for a day trip or an overnight stay. Be sure to try to go during the main opening times of shops and restaurants between 10am and 8pm (for the majority). Recommend La Dehesa del Ibérico --delicious jamón ibérico and queso along with very good quality wine. Abacería El Rincón del Beso, a quirky upstairs terrace under the rock, also with very good quality wine. Many other restaurants to try, but I arrived at 7pm on a Tuesday in August and left at 9am on the Wednesday morning, so many were closing at 8pm and not open when I left.

Setenil is quite touristy, however it is a pretty town.

Setenil is quite touristy, however it is a pretty town. You do need to be happy and fit to walk up and down some steep streets. There is parking, but it eas not easy to find, despite the parking signs, and you really do not want to start driving into the town. There are several points of interest and great views, the river area is pretty and there are cafes, bars and restaurants there. The country side around Setenil is quite beautiful in May, with many varieties of wild flowers along the roadside.

To get to the Tourism Office you have to go up steep steps and fairly steep roads, which might not suit everyone, but then Setenil is built on the side of hill. The centre with the overhanging rock was a sight to see. Plenty of shops and restaurants.

We loved our stay in Setenil de las Bodegas. The location was incredible just steps from the main street with all the cave restaurants built into the rocks. The place itself was very clean, spacious and in great condition. Check in was smooth and the host communicated really well throughout. The town is so unique and the setting is absolutely stunning. We would love to come back one day and definitely recommend it to other travellers.

The hotel is in a very convenient situation at the top of the town and very close to the car park. This really is a big plus as it is very hilly to go anywhere. We had a lovely big terrace off our ground floor room which was shared with other rooms but you can pull roller barriers across to section off the part outside your room.

Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Hotel is in a great location for exploring the region. Swimming pool, sun loungers and gardens were great. Very clean room which was tidied daily. Great menu with lots of choice. Plenty of variety for breakfast.

The owner Cecilia is a very kind person, she was quick in answering and offering her help if needed, the flat is very well and practically equipped and nice. The neighbourhood is quiet and near to the flat there is a nice view of Setenil from above.
