Hotel Villa de Setenil is located in the center of the historic town of Setenil de Las Bodegas, which is on the White Villages of Andalusia Route and 9.3 mi from Ronda. Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Renovated with old Spanish touches. Really good restaurant on the premises. Bonus secured free parking
Located in the center of Setenil, Casa Rural El Tajo is a simply decorated 1-bedroom house with a balcony and views of the river and the village’s famous caves. Location was excellent and the apartment super clean and well laid out. Check in/out was easy.
Featuring a terrace, Casa Rural Cuevas del Sol is a country house located in the center of Setenil. This was an amazing town! The apartment was right in the center of the town on the Main Street but very quiet. It was nice having the kitchen and dining room as we arrived late and found restaurants closed at 8:00 pm! Not typical for Spain. A local grocery store saved us!
Located in Setenil, Casa Nazarí - Setenil de las Bodegas has mountain views and free WiFi, 12 miles from Plaza de Espana and 12 miles from Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor. Beautiful apartment in a picturesque and quiet town. Everything was clean and stylishly furnished. Communication with the owner was quick and trouble-free.
Located in Setenil, 12 miles from Plaza de Espana and 12 miles from Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor, Casa Cueva El Arrabal offers free WiFi and air conditioning. The house is really nice, the decor, cleanliness and facilities are all first class.
Apartamentos Cantarería, Jazmín. Is located in Setenil, 12 miles from Plaza de Espana and 12 miles from Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. I usually don’t like staying in the same apartments, but this one is exceptional. We were so happy about the place that we decided to stay one more night. The view from the terrace is spectacular.
Located in Setenil, 12 miles from Plaza de Espana and 12 miles from Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor, Casa Bajo la Roca provides air-conditioned accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi. Truly in the centre. Rock in the bedroom. Amazing view from the balcony
Located in Setenil, 12 miles from Plaza de Espana and 12 miles from Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor, Casa Cueva "Las Calcetas" has river views and free WiFi. The town is AMAZING!! And the best part is, this home is right in the middle of it! Because it’s under the rock, the house stays nice and cool! Beautiful rock ceiling! We ended up staying an extra night because we loved it soo much.
Beautiful whitewashed town in the andalucian mountains. Its very touristic because the houses and shops are embedded into the overhanging stone ledges of the town. Its very quaint and definitely worth visiting. The town gets very busy especially the weekends so therefore its better to arrive early to be able to park at the entrance of the town. This is free just a tip for the parking assistant that is guiding cars to the parkings. There are some wonderful restaurants but can truly say that El Mirador is amazing food and great customer service. Don't leave the town without buying some home made cakes from one of the many cake shops. Superb!
Setenil is a lovely interesting village with good bars and restaurants. We had good service from nearly everyone. If you want to experience rural Spain, it is a good base. There are very few English visitors it seems so brush up on your Spanish - or have Google Translate at the ready! Also be prepared for a lot of walking up and down steep hills and steps. There is rarely any on- road parking and the main car park is a good 15-20 minute walk for the average able-bodied but would be extremely tricky for anyone with impaired mobility. So if you dine in the village in the evening, there’s plenty of opportunity to walk off the calories! The bar Lucia and the slightly more upmarket Brasserie were two of our favourite places to eat in the village. The Mira Bueno restaurant was excellent and the staff were super friendly. It’s outside the village with good views overlooking it and has parking right outside. There are places to visit nearby such as the early Roman ruins at Acipino and the castle at Olvera - you need to be quite physically fit for both these though. The bridge at Ronda is also well worth a visit but it does get very busy. In summary, the area is beautiful, the food tasty & inexpensive and the people are friendly. The down side is that getting about can be quite challenging for the less mobile.
Setenil is lovely. You need good knees to cope with steep hills and stairs. Not many places open at night to eat. Just one or two restaurants and bars in May. Park in the car parking los canos as the streets are so so narrow in places. Thoroughly worthwhile stay.
An off-the-beaten-path gem of a town nestled in the overhanging rocks lining the old river walls. The food was exceptional, the town was unique in every visual aspect and it was the best part of our road trip through the Pueblos Blancos de Cadiz.
Picturesque white village of Andalucía. A hidden gem with such a lovely feel. Very friendly atmosphere and vibe. I can’t wait to return for the scenery and the gastronomy (and vino)! A tuc tuc recommended to see a whole lot more if you have limited time. The souvenir shops are not tacky and have nice local products. Can’t wait to return….maybe winter next time!
This is a very special village where properties are built into the rock. It has a unique atmosphere and feels like you're stepping back in time. The local bars have great food at very reasonable prices.
Our host was very welcoming and helpful. She brought the key to the property just a couple of minutes after we called her to inform that we'd arrived. The property is very close to the bars, restaurants and shops. I had forgotten a few dresses in one of the cupboards for which I was notified by the owner a few days later and which they were returned to me by post. I am every so grateful. I would definitely recommend this property as well as the very picturesque Setenil.
We really liked this place. It's a small rustic cabin with a small sitting space and a bed. Read the description! If you're looking for something bigger, go somewhere else. But we loved the outdoorsy camping vibe. The shared bathrooms are incredibly clean. Great facilities. Convenient restaurant on site (and cute dogs) and nice location just on the outskirts of Setenil.
We had a lovely stay at La Casa de la Abuela - sadly only one night. The house is well appointed, and ideally situated just outside Setenil. It's an easy walk down into the centre of the town- not quite so easy coming back! The hosts Sandra and Isaac were great, and were very helpful. I hope we can come back sometime for a longer stay.
Well, it is a pictoresque small house wedged under the cliff, half house, half cave, in one of the two paleolithic roads of Setenil, next to the small stream, in the center of everithing you want to see. Very good for one night (Setenil is so small you see everything in a few hours).
What a neat way to experience the caves of Setenil. I appreciated details like including kids soap/shampoo because they knew we were traveling with our kids. Everything was clean and the apartment is well located. We hope to be back!
Lovely house built into the cave in the centre of the pueblo. Full of character with excellent facilities. The owner, Elisa, was very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend Casa Cueva if staying in Setenil.
If you want to stay in Setenil, the location is perfect. There's a tapas bar just under the apartment, but it wasn't too loud and closed up early. The apartment is spacious and was clean.
The apartment is full equipped, very clean and in the most picturesque road of Setenil. The host was really gentile and was able to help us with the car parking and bike storage, superb!
We loved this little house in the rock. It is located in the most picturesque street of Setenil, with fantastic restaurants just around the corner. We had a great stay!
Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Renovated with old Spanish touches. Really good restaurant on the premises. Bonus secured free parking
es muy grande, tiene buena vistas y hay parking que es duro encontrar en Setenil big house, lovely views and had parking which is rare in Setenil
The accommodation is in a perfect location to discover Setenil de las Bodegas. Host is very friendly and keen to answer all our questions.
The hotel was excellent, it’s location, restaurant, breakfast superb, there was nothing to dislike.
The place is exceptional and the view from the balcony reveals the beauty of Setenil.
