Beautiful town, folk very friendly considering it is a tourist town. Great for nearby walks, superb river swim spots nearby. Lots of choice for eating drinking chilling. Easily 10 nearby walks from town or using very cheap bus service up valley. Great info available at tourist office, ie detailed walks and maps. Plus mountainbiking up restonica valley. Corte is a good place to do some hiking as the mountains and hills are stunning. We found the people in Corte were not as friendly as other places in Corsica we visited- which does make a differnce! We arrived by train - it was a short walk from the station and the directions given by the owner to find the apartment were easy to follow. Comfy bed and very quiet - we slept very well! We were very grateful for the AC as there was a heatwave whilst we were staying. Kitchen well-equipped and the homemade biscuits left by the owner were delicious!
