Exceptional service. We had to catch an early flight and staff member made certain we had breakfast outside of their normal morning hours. Location was perfect. 10 minutes from the airport went a long way to relieving traveling stress.

We've been double booked by Booking.com and it was a lot of stress when we arrived at the property late evening and all the rooms were occupied. But our host was so nice to offer us her room for the night ( she had to sleep on a couch 😐) I would say that was first rate stay for us. Best service

    We spent most of our time on Barry Island, it's a great place if you have young children. Beautiful beach and lots of amusements. Barry itself is a little rundown which is a pity because it has a lovely village feel to it.

    We were in the area for visiting family and friends.

    We were in the area for visiting family and friends. Barry is not your average holiday destination. Good for beaches if weather is good. The funfair on the Island would be good for thrill seekers. Not like the Fun parks of course. A fairly good base for touring the coastal areas, and Cardiff. There is a fabulous fish restaurant at the Knap area in Barry.

    Beauty of a beach clean walk ways shame this was just the island. Outside where we stayed was multiple people letting there dogs poo without caring (not just tourists) at one point had to step over a fresh pile on entrance to the station docks where kids were spray painting some old buildings despite being fenced off (no one around to report to)

    Barry is the home of Gavin and Stacey and an excellent place to visit plus the Gavin and Stacey Tour was excellent and a must for anyone wanting to see more of the points of interest around Barry and Barry Island

    Completely run down awful access and not terribly clean felt a bit like a bad run down version of Southend on a bad day! Lots of beggars homeless and refuge places plenty of weatherspoons though awful

    Barry is built on a hill so not for the faint hearted.

    Barry is built on a hill so not for the faint hearted. People were friendly plenty choice to eat out and plenty of coast line to walk. We also drove to the Big Pitt well worth a visit which takes you underground in a real coal mine.

    Check in was super easy. We were greeted by Morgan who couldn't do enough for us. Room was massive and airy and super clean. We booked as we attended a wedding in Barry. I was blown away by the hotel and room, even requesting a second pillow at midnight wasn't too much for them and, the bed was comfy, normally I wake up with aching back, but no, the bed was exactly what I needed. Would definitely book again for when I come to Barry for events. Fabulous hotel. Thank you.

    Breakfast was served in the pub and was very nice. The lady serving was friendly and efficient. The pub was in a lovely location. The landlord was very welcoming and showed us to our room, which was clean and very comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities in our room. Good location, it was 7 minutes from Barry Island but coudn't have felt more different, surrounded by farmland and very quiet.

    Great accommodation in the heart of Barry Island. The communication has been great throughout from the team. The property is clean and has everything we needed as a family of 3. Great to look out of the window and see the hustle and bustle of Barry Island on a hot summer weekend and the locations of some of the Gavin & Stacey scenes.

    We could not fault our stay at all, it was brilliant from start to end, we visited Barry Island as we are massive fans of Gavin and Stacey, was brilliant to see them filming and to top off our stay was meeting James Corden, will be back again next year
