We would love to come back here and stay in the Honeymoon suite as well as stay a couple of days. We would also like to have dinner at the Castle. The breakfast food was super fresh and awesome.

Always plenty going on and people could not be more helpful or friendly. Do your homework and book well ahead as tickets go fast! Eat at the crown or elph while the Zest will keep you going with food on the go and all the chat!!!

A lovely little gem.
A lovely little gem. Lots of interesting shops cafes bars and restaurants. Great views to the surrounding hills. The Bigger and Clydesdale museum is well worth a visit. We spent a lot of time in there. Particularly liked the old street and there is lots of information on the origins and history of the town. The Cross Keys was full of friendly locals and a lovely friendly barmaid and the food was good in the Elphinstone and the Barony. Highly recommend a visit to Biggar.

A decent array of independent shops with all the essentials covered. Post Office, restaurants, pubs and hotels. Quite difficult to get a meal as most places booked up due to COVID restrictions. A little scruffy in places but not too bad overall.

Interesting historic town where the High Street has many independent shops. It has a great wee book shop - look out for evening events there (Atkinson- Pryce Books). Elphinstone Hotel does great evening meals - cosy in winter with its log fire. Biggar - we'll be back to spend more time exploring!

Good variety of shops especially Aroma Coffee Shop, great filled square sausage and egg roll, staff very friendly. Like all villages where the main road goes through can be a bit busy at times but does not detract from Biggar. People I met in Biggar very pleasant

Small little town of what we saw.
Small little town of what we saw. Found it difficult to find a pub to eat in! One crossed keys claimed the chef was catching up from lunch orders so wasn’t serving anyone currently (there was no one else in) Walked further up to be told they weren’t serving till after 5. Finally managed to get food in the crown? Staff were lovely and food was nice. Attended a wedding at cornhill cottage which was absolutely stunning!! The grounds were breathtaking!!
