I come to the UK just for the Hotel Pelirocco. It makes me happy that there are people in the world who make extraordinary spaces for others to enjoy. Everything about the place is magical from the paintings in the corridors to the bounce of the mattresses and the tiling in the showers. I cannot say enough about this superb hotel and it really feels like the best of Brighton.

FAQs about hotels in Brighton & Hove

Colourful by Day and Night

Known for colourful nightlife and traditional English seaside pursuits, Brighton and neighbour Hove are the closest beach resorts to London, making them popular end points for classic car runs from the capital. Many end at the racecourse, a few streets from Brighton Marina, Europe’s largest, housing several shops and eateries. Many Brighton guest houses on Booking.com are also nearby.

Running along the beachfront is the world’s oldest operating electric railway, ending by Brighton Pier. Lit up at night and also known as Palace Pier, this city icon houses amusements and rides, and is one place to pick up some famous Brighton Rock, the confectionery sharing its name with an edgy Graham Greene novel set here.

A new addition, the Brighton Wheel is right by the pier, while one of its most famous attractions is the Royal Pavilion, a former royal retreat built in Indian style.

Just west are 2 of the most popular Brighton shopping spots – Churchill Square shopping centre and The Lanes with its narrow streets and unusual shops. This area also has several Brighton hotels with parking, and the Artists Quarter, a series of ex-fishing huts that are now galleries. The arts are a big thing here and Brighton Festival is the UK’s 2nd largest arts festival, while Brighton Pride is also a big event on the annual calendar.

Beautiful vibrant city with the added attraction of a fantastic beach. Loads of art galleries eating establishments nice shops, some excellent hotels some right on the beach. I have been back a few times for a long weekends and mid break breaks. It’s always been a pleasure. The only downside to Brighton is the parking which will cost you more than your night stay here!

We went to the i360 for the view.

We went to the i360 for the view. Then we went to the upside down house, recommended fun. Went to Sealife, recommend booking a slot otherwise you maybe have to wait up to 2 hours. A day spent at the pier, a day pass to the rides and other times we spend in the arcade. Five guys recommended above the Lanes. Recommend Tortilla in the high street. Globalls minigolf is a fun experience at the harbor. Ordered in Dominos and China Garden for our last night.

So many restaurants, bars and cafes to choose from. The promenade is lovely due to the wide spaces, views and to watch the activities on the beach. Lovely to go for a walk along the prom. The Royal Pavilion is great to visit. And of course The Laines with all the quirky shops.

Brighton is a bustling city and there is always something happening. There are so many eateries to choose from catering for nearly all dietary requirements. We ate at Tinto a Spanish tapas restaurant next to the theatre and it was lovely - would recommend booking as it is quite small (but perfectly formed). The theatre is beautiful and should be experienced on a visit to Brighton. Being a 'mature' visitor it is nice to see a lot of life going on all around.

Brighton is a vibrant city with plenty of things to do. In my case I went to a Colombian dancing show in a pub. I have a fantastic afternoon tea at Ivy restaurant. Parks, beaches are great for walking. I love the street markets where you can find very special items. The vibe of the place is great, multicultural, artistic

We love going to Brighton as there is always lots to do, The Lanes is a really enjoyable place to walk around (much better when you get nice weather though) and has really nice authentic shops. The seafront is a lovely walk and plenty of little quirky shops on the beach. Be wary if you are planning to visit the Pier though. In the winter its not too bad as it's free but in the summer, they actually charge to go onto the Pier, it was £1, don't know if it's still that though. I resent paying to just walk along the Pier, especially if you have a family, And if you are looking for somewhere nice to stay, The Old Ship Hotel is a lovely place, Really friendly staff and nice rooms.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. We asked for a late checkout on the day we left, and they gave it free. Lively area and best hotel for walking to the Brighton Centre as well as to gift shops on same road. Brighton Pier is not far away either, and there are many places to eat nearby if you don't wish to eat dinner in the bar/bistro part of Queens hotel. Overall, thank you for a great stay.
