Everything - perfect, just what we wanted! The whole ‘cottage’, although small was so well thought out, really comfortable & spotlessly clean. (Husband was doing the Pennine Way & I was providing support & cycling. The North View Cottage was our base for a few stages & the facilities ensured a nice warm end to the day, ability to do washing, dry out, re-fuel and relax in comfort on what has been a pretty damp experience at times!). Our accommodation was perfect for us and our dog. The included breakfast was delicious with really friendly staff. Most of all we really appreciated the lift we got from the hotel owner back to our walking trail when we couldn't get a taxi.

It was a 4 star hotel but in my opinion it should be 5 star Staff were excellent room was spotless and food was outstanding. I've stayed in glen eagles and I think farlam was more relaxing.

Fabulous working farm in a stunning location. Rooms were in a well converted barn (everything thought of) with high ceilings and great facilities - even a little kitchen area with a good microwave, kettle, crockery and plates. Really comfy and cosy beds, large shower room en-suite. Breakfast was particularly good - quality of the food was excellent. Really enjoyed watching the bats at dusk and even spotted a barn owl (we think) flying across the fields. Highly recommend.

Rooms are very clean, new and well kept, every single detail is modern and fresh, including towels. For the biker - as the bike had its vovered garage - difficult to find better place.
