In the village of Gorey on the east coast of Jersey, Maison Gorey Hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from the beach, shops, restaurant and bars. From the moment we got there we were treated very well, I cannot fault anything with this hotel, very impressed with the staff, super friendly, and the breakfast was first class! Weldone. 👍👏👏👏😉
Beachcombers Hotel is a boutique hotel next to the Royal Jersey Golf Course and Bay of Grouville, and a few minutes' walk from the beach. There is a bus stop directly outside the property. The staff were amazing, so friendly so helpful, so nice so much fun. The list is endless.
This beautiful Hotel is 6 minutes walk from the beach. Located on the fringe of picturesque Gorey Village, this small, comfortable hotel is ideally located within easy walking distance of the... Breakfast was very good down the road at the 'Kitchen' cafe. as no food facilities. Not a problem, short walk. Location was very good, lovely walk to the village square and close to castle. Lovely relaxing courtyard.
Overlooking one of the largest tidal ranges in the world, this independent hotel offers local food, a swimming pool and unrivaled views of St. Clements. A delightful hotel right opposite the sea front at Pontac. We had a sea facing room with balcony in the newer part of the hotel. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. The balcony had a table and chairs. A plentiful breakfast was served and the hotel serves evening meals for extra charge and it has a nice bar. The outside pool is heated and has ample loungers and tables and chairs. The staff are friendly but I have to mention Shiela, a very nice lady on the front desk who is always so helpful and welcoming. A bus departs from outside the hotel to St Helier and runs regularly until late at night.
Located in Gorey, Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre has a restaurant, shared lounge, garden, and free WiFi. At the hostel all rooms include bed linen and towels. We had two little dogs and they were welcomed into the property. The property had a large garden at the back which was very enjoyable for picnics. The atmosphere was good and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was simple and standard.
Near to castle, fabulous beach, local supermarket/convenience shop, good bus route options. Not a wide selection of family restaurants/ options in the village (except for a place called The Ranch which had good range of food options and portions were HUGE).
Grouville has good connections with local attractions via regular buses. Golf course nearby. We liked going to Gorey and St Catherines point. Used our car some days. Parking at the hotel limited, but there was on street parking nearby.
Quiet and relaxing. No tat shops or arcades. No entertainment but easily within a 25 mn bus ride away from St. Helier the capital. Just a wide expanse of sand and sea with a castle at the end. Eateries within walking distance serving all tastes and a Morrisons corner shop in the village. Everywhere clean and smart looking.
Lovely friendly hotel that had a kitchen area and lounge that you were able to use . Great bonus Also had a patio area on level 2 which was nice to sit at night with a glass of wine So handy for walking into Gorey with a Morrison’s only 3 minute walk away Only 6 car park spaces but we always got parked but there is free parking close by So handy for the beach and walks into grouville
We made a pilgrimage to the birthplace of Harry Vardon and needless to say Grouville gripped us.Unfortunately the Royal Golf Club did not make us welcome but this did not surprise me since most golf clubs with a Royal warrant do not have disabled facilities. If you examine the statue of Harry Vardon at the entrance you will notice that Harry is giving visitors the finger .
The Royal Bay of Grouville has a fantastic beach, a working harbour, a wide selection of restaurants and an impressive castle. If you are a golfer you even have a golf course to practice your driving skills.
Hello. I stayed at your lovely hotel last week, in room 202. Just to say - not only was the hotel clean and tidy but the staff were excellent and courteous. Reception staff and the lady who looked after breakfast were superb and they made me feel very welcome. Thank you for a great stay.
lovely hotel, great for families!
