Lovely place lovely hotel staff all very welcoming and helpful. The pool was a delight as was the gym and the lovely garden area. Food great. Room was lovely with a sea view. Plenty of room in the hotel and the bedroom.
Beachcombers Hotel is a boutique hotel next to the Royal Jersey Golf Course and Bay of Grouville, and a few minutes' walk from the beach. There is a bus stop directly outside the property. The whole experience was amazing, very helpful and happy staff. The food was excellent! All in all the whole experience was truly enjoyable, it was a night away from our kids and the stay was just what we needed. So thank you
Just outside St Helier, this 14th-century manor house features a 3 AA-Rosette restaurant, an outdoor pool with al fresco dining and a casual cocktail bar. The professionalism and disposition of the staff. Full marks to the owners and the MD. They all could have been easily been head of HR in any footsie 100 company.
Situated on the fringe of picturesque Gorey Village, this small, comfortable hotel is ideally located within easy walking distance of the spectacular Mont Orgeuil Castle and Gorey Harbor. Loved the friendly welcome! The room was very comfortable and the location is perfect for visiting the town and castle.
Overlooking Gorey Harbor, Seascale Hotel & Restaurant offers well-appointed rooms beneath Jersey’s Mont Orgueil Castle. I liked the amazing furnitures, decoration in the room & that I could see the sea from my window. I liked the tea-maker set & the chocolates next to it. I liked the dining room, the delicious breakfasts which I could select from a breakfast menu (fishes/egg/ham + furitsalad/prorridge/cornflakes & coffee/tea/hot chocolate & grapefruit/plum/orange juice), it was wonderful and the bust stop only 3 steps from the hotel.
Located by the Gorey Harbor, the Dolphin Hotel offers a seafood restaurant and a Mediterranean bar and grill. Free WiFi and free parking are also available. The staff were brilliant and everything was clean the food for the evening meal was excellent and possibly the best steak i have ever had staying an extra night due to ferry not running and looking forward to another superb stay and evening w
We made a pilgrimage to the birthplace of Harry Vardon and needless to say Grouville gripped us.Unfortunately the Royal Golf Club did not make us welcome but this did not surprise me since most golf clubs with a Royal warrant do not have disabled facilities. If you examine the statue of Harry Vardon at the entrance you will notice that Harry is giving visitors the finger .
The Royal Bay of Grouville has a fantastic beach, a working harbour, a wide selection of restaurants and an impressive castle. If you are a golfer you even have a golf course to practice your driving skills.
A lovely out of town location but not much there. Although close to the sea you have to cross golf course to get to it (allowed, public right of way). If you take the 7 minute walk across from the hotel there isn't anything there but a sea wall and you're about 15 feet above sea. I loved being out there at night just watching the waves crash against the wall and the moon rise slowly from the horizon. It was dark but safe. Next day I walked to Gorey the same way and came to the beach after 10 minutes or so. Lovely. Gorey is a beautiful spot with a lovely harbour and pier and a few hotels and shops. Plenty of lovely little gardens and flowers. There are 2 supermarkets closeby. I just love the ambience of this place and most other out of town locations on Jersey. A great escape if you want to get away from the stresses of everyday life.
Grouville is a pretty and tranquil part of Jersey. The bus service provides easy and frequent access to StHelier and Gorey. .a boon for people unable to walk very far.Being close to coast..footpaths good for walks
There was a great bus service and only a few minutes from Grouville Station bus stop to Gorey Harbour. We enjoyed great food and service at the Dolphin (in the restaurant), Feast, Sumas and Bass & Lobster. Four restaurants all with good food and wine with nice ambience. We spent a lovely few hours in the afternoon on the clean sandy beach at Gorey and when we came back to the Pier for our evening meal the tide was so high it was almost over the top of the sea wall. Memorable.
It has a French feel with the usual useful English bits like fish and chips shop Morrison's local and a few small shops. Hardly any traffic and the locals are friendly. In the words of Arnie I'll be back.
Lovely place lovely hotel staff all very welcoming and helpful. The pool was a delight as was the gym and the lovely garden area. Food great. Room was lovely with a sea view. Plenty of room in the hotel and the bedroom.
The breakfast was superb. The staff were super-friendly and helpful.
