Hamsterley is a pleasant stone-built village.
Hamsterley is a pleasant stone-built village. It has a very decent pub with good pub food. This is useful as you need to drive further to find other food outlets. There is a Tesco locally somewhere but we didn't go there. There is no village shop or parish church but a Baptist church and village hall. Sat nav takes you to the social hall not Grove House which is several miles further on inside the forest so beware.CathyUnited Kingdom - Scored 1010

A bit tricky to find, don’t rely on SatNav/phone Maps! Once in Hamsterley I phoned the owners for further directions, they very kindly drove out to meet us so that we could follow them back to the B&B!
