Situated in the countryside of North Yorkshire, this family-run bed and breakfast offers spacious, beautifully decorated accommodation. Guests are greeted with tea and home-made cakes. Wonderfully friendly owners who went above and beyond - so lovely and so accommodating ... superb breakfast... suggested and then booked the local “Greyhound Inn” for cosy dinnner - great! would certainly stay again - for longer next time :)
Set in a 17th-century building, the Queens Head is situated in Fingall, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The 4-star accommodation offers free parking, scenic views and cooked breakfasts. The food was delicious and the pub and accommodation quaint, comfortable and clean. It's a beautiful haven in the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside and I have no hesitation in recommending it here.

Very friendly people Not much in village shop e.g. no milk or morning papers at 9 am but I think the owners were running stock low as property is up for sale Lovely pub can't rate meals as didn't eat there but smelt lovely and fish and chip van comes to village at 5 -30 ish on a Tuesday Really need a car but leyburn Masham etc are not far away plenty to see and do and Forbidden Corner is a must if you have children On Sunday we sent to a village called Spennithorne for their quiz night food was lovely and people so nice and friendly would visit the area again without a doubt
Very picturesque village. With a lovely village store which has everything needed for your needs and a lovely pub with has a very friendly opening atmosphere which dogs are welcome. Very good ale and food served at pub.
This holiday home was just that - a home from home. My sister had come from Australia and wanted to renew her memories of the Dales. The cottage was ideally situated for touring the area and had evetything we couldwant. A phone call soon took care of the two queries we had. It was comfy, roomy and we would certainly consider going again.
Hunton is a small picturesque village. Narrow streets and pretty houses and gardens. "The Countryman's Inn" is the only Inn that we could find in the village and is frequented by very friendly local people. It is a community that seems to be very interested in horses and a wide variety of dogs. It is very quiet at night and there is a small village shop and post office opposite the Inn. It is close to Ripon.
Lovely place to stay, beautiful views all round, you won't regret it. We ate in for breakfast which was fabulous! It's easy to find Hunton and would have loved to stay longer. Stayed here as just a few miles to Catterick for sons pass out parade. Will be going back to enjoy the views.
Hunton is within easy access of several places of interest. Lovely walks. Lacked places to eat. The nearest place is over 2 miles. Leyburn, Bedale are local places with quirky shops and good places to eat. Forbidden corner is fun for young or old.

The staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. The hotel had its own private garden. It was located in a quiet village but close to places of interest.
