Narberth is a good centre for visiting Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. It has lots of lovely little shops and restaurants. The "Contented Sole" sells the best battered cod I have ever tasted in 65 years of gloriously unhealthy eating. It seems to have a lot of traffic for such a small place but hey, youcan't have everything.
Small friendly town . The Angel does lovely meals .the food at MadTom was exceptional, fish restaurant, Made welcomed at the bull ,on Wednesday quiz night Well located for local resorts and family attractions .
Narberth is a little gem. Georgian buildings, ruined castle and central location. Wonderful fish restaurant (Mad Toms) - don't miss this one. Also recommend Ultra Comida a fantastic deli on the High Street. Peppercorns also a winner with burgers and wonderful desserts. Pizzas at 32 Townhouse made by an Italian chef so very good indeed. Disappointed with the fish and chips at the top of the High Street, not good and expensive. Otherwise can recommend a stay in Narberth. Bosherton lily pads/Broad Haven beach a highlight. Also Lawrenny and LLansteffan.
Narberth is a thriving bustling small town, full of individual shops and friendly people. We spent ages browsing around the antique warehouse and the two delis and local produce shops offer locally sourced goodies which would be useful for a self catering stay. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs but possibly not somewhere best for holidaying with young children, although Folly Farm is nearby. Easy to access St Davids, Tenby, Cardigan and all areas in between. The only negative is that, for a small town, it seems to be a main thoroughfare for heavy passing traffic which goes through the main street despite the one way system.
A lovely village for exploring and takes about an hour..Lovely old pubs and independent shops and restaurants. Much better to stay here than very busy Tenby, then drive to Tenby and park at North Beach car park,(other parking is a nightmare when busy).
Narbeth is a small rural town with lots of local provisions and crafts. The location is ideal to travel to the coastal paths and you are spoilt for beach es the length of the Pembrokeshire and Cardigan coast all amidst beautiful countryside. There are several themed parks for children and adults alike. There are many historical places to visit including St Davids cathedral making it the smallest city in the Uk.
Narberth
The property served as a great base from which to enjoy that part of Wales. The house came fully equipped with everything that we needed and it was well situated in Narberth so that we were only a stones throw away from the shops. Whilst the property is essentially attached to a pub this was not as big an issue as we had feared although you do get customers from the pub outside the front door and windows smoking which was a bit disconcerting to begin with.
Peaceful quiet location, which allowed us to do plenty of reading, exceptionally pleasant and helpful hosts. Ideal location for exploring south west Wales The property suited our requirements perfectly.
