St Helier is very changed over the last few decades with the presence of the many finance buildings but some of its old stores and markets are still there and pubs and restaurants have survived which is lovely to see. The island was perfect in so many ways, clean, safe, lots to do and a wide variety of stunning beaches to swim at. However the cost of eating out was prohibitive to say the least.
