Was a lovely old looking lodge, the place was amazing for the girls, even has a Harry Potter space under the stairs which amused them. Trampoline in the garden was a really big hit with the grandchildren

Sorry, I didn't see much of Trowbridge as I was going to a wedding at Faulkland... However, getting through traffic in Trowbridge was not easy, either on Friday pm or Saturday morning! I guess traffic issues are not unusual though, so it would have been nice to have had time to explore the old town on foot - maybe next time!

Visited the Weavers Market and the stall holders were friendly. It was slightly smaller than expected. We also travelled to Bradford upon Avon, about 3 miles away, and the area around the canal was lovely.

Trowbridge is a lovely town in the middle of green pastures.
Trowbridge is a lovely town in the middle of green pastures. It makes a good base to explore Bath, Bradford on Avon and Bristol with good train connections. It is quite flat and easy walking. St James is a lovely old church in the centre which rings its bells with pride.

We went to Trowbridge to visit friends. It has plenty of pubs and restaurants to eat in and a cinema. It is in easy travelling distance of Bath. Buses go into Bath and trains to both Bath and Bristol.

We went to Trowbridge as we used to live there and I was visiting friends. There are plenty of places to eat and there is a cinema. It is in easy reach of Bath but accommodation is cheaper. There is a train station with access to Bath and Bristol and a bus service to Bath so both places easily accessible without a car.

The accommodation suited the purpose of my trip.
The accommodation suited the purpose of my trip.
I am familiar with the town of Trowbridge & have been for many years.
Ate, drank & shopped in my usual haunts most of which thankfully are still in existence
This is an excellent, family run hotel. The staff are friendly and polite and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. This is our second day. It was unfortunate that our room had been double booked for the first night but the owner found another hotel for that night. It was more expensive but he paid the difference and gave us a voucher to use in their restaurant on the second night. Mistakes can happen and we were impressed by the way it was dealt with and will certainly stay there again.
The property was in a great location for Longleat and not far from town with restaurants and cinema etc Parking at the hotel was great.
Our room was a great size, offering two double beds and a single bed with lots of room to spare.
The staff were absolutely lovely and really helpful.
Kids really enjoyed the warm swimming pool!
Breakfast was delicious.
The house, I would think is old (probably listed) so obviously when you walked in it did have a bit of foisty smell. But that soon disappeared. But it was comfortable and a lovely place to stay. Had some nice walks around area. But one thing - no hairdryer. Lovely shower. One of the nicest I've used and easy to set up.
