We had dreadful wet weather which unfortunately inhibited exploring a bit. But still Enjoyed.Bradford on Avon is a 'mini-Bath' lovely place to be just walking around or sitting out in numerous cafe/bars etc overlooking River. Very compact to explore and visually stunning. Quaint, Unusual little shops in the centre. Station also close to easily go off to Bath/ Bristol etc. Within 10 mins walk from centre, Beautiful Area by Canal lock and old Tithe barn to Explore and Enjoy.
Lovely walks along both the river and canal. Lots of pubs and places to eat.small and therefore easy to see everything in a weekend but also very close to Bath. Very relaxing. The bridge tea rooms were excellent. Timbrells Yard was fabulous for dinner.
Beautiful historic town on the banks of the Avon river. Great boutique and antique shopping, along with many, many food and drink options - so many great cafes, pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance of the centre of the town. Lots to do in town, but also very close by train to the City of Bath.
Very beautiful little River town. We stayed at the Bear Inn. Which is lovely, apart from a cold room. I hope the owners will take this as constructive, and not personal. We visited a proper locals pub called the Three horseshoes, for a quickie, and found it to be friendly.. Some very old, fabulous buildings.. I drive through Bradford on Avon regularly, and am always enchanted.
Nice Georgian billings and plenty of cafes and restaurants, didn't see any antique shops (surprising) a bit hilly for invalids, but nice and flat along the riverbank and canal bank for a stroll. I am sure there are some antique shops somewhere in the town.
“it was in a great location, very clean and lots of space , it was good that it had free parking , bradford on avon is a lovely place to visit, would definitely use the apartment on our next visit ”
“Hotel is well located for either Bath or Bradford on Avon. My second stay here and the room was very comfortable, great amenities, reception staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good.”
“Everything! The building is amazing and sympatheticly restored/decorated. The rooms are beautiful, full of character and charm. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. It was exceptionally clean and the rooms have everything you need. And to top it off the staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. I can not recommend this hotel enough. I am definitely going back.”
“The cottage was beautifully decorated and set in a fantastic location right in the middle of the town. Super close to Bath too! We loved the log burner and netflix supplied as we were pretty much snowed in for one day of our stay. Charlotte went above and beyond to make our stay special by leaving extra logs and making sure we would be warm by bringing our slippers. She was very responsive throughout the whole stay and was a perfect host! We will definitely be returning in the summer, Bradford On Avon is lovely!!”
“Very convenient for Wiltshire Music centre with parking available at the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and reacted extremely well to my complaint about the food. The decor in the bar is great and we enjoyed reading the newspapers available.”
