Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, The Porterhouse is a pub which offers accommodations in Willingham, 8.1 mi from Cambridge. Free private parking is available on site. Every room includes a TV. Lovely studio, far larger than expected. Shower was great, staff were very accomodating and friendly.
Located in Willingham in the Cambridgeshire region, Ruby - Caravan/Motorhome, Rural location north Cambridge features a garden. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the caravan. It was the perfect place to recharge our batteries- surrounded by horses, chirping birds and green fields. Our hosts were really helpful and we were provided with everything we needed. We would love to go back to the caravan.
With a thatched roof and white stone walls, The Old Ferry Boat is considered England’s oldest inn. Overlooking the Great Ouse River, the rooms are tastefully furnished and have free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was excellent, good choice, hot and cooked to order. Staff helpful and friendly. Fabulous location by the river, very quiet but within short distance of good roads.
Good location of Willingham to the Longstanton Park & Ride for visiting Cambridge. Bedding was fresh and clean as was the room but will not be returning to Willingham House as overall our stay was disappointing.
There were no local attractions except the ugly scene of a vast area of what should have been countryside being changed into a road network. One pub, friendly but dark inside. One social club to which you have to be a member.
On the outskirts of Cambridge (approx 9 miles) with the guided bus being approx 1 mile away, which you can either walk or drive to. Good village facilities including pubs which do excellent food and a micro-brewery too, a curry house, fish & chips/Chinese, a great farm shop & butchers and a Co-op.
I had a single room, and it was just right for an over night stay. The storage was limited. The room was comfortable and clean, the shower (with instructions) was good and the bed soft and cosy. I needed to be north of Cambridge for work the next day, so the property was great for easing traffic problems.
The location was good and I particularly liked that Willingham House had a guest fridge, crockery / cutlery and breakfast foods. Clean and basic, value for money.
