Everything is super clean and neat. The hotel is really a boutique, not too many guests and the staff is amazing. I can write so much about everything being perfect. Some would say that the location is not good but I find it perfect, it’s 10 minutes drive from city center, there’s a parking and it’s a quiet area and it makes it so peaceful. Wonderful hotel for sure will be back.

We loved the place (very clean, great location, beautiful views from the room, etc.), the beach (clean, sunbeds included, turquoise water, etc.), the food (large portions, great taste, good prices, free fruits and raki at the end of every meal...YAMAS!), all the people there are great. We loved Greek Paseta and Pastitsio! Yiannis (our host) was great, we thank him very much for everything! He left us in the room until we left for the airport, he fulfilled all our requirements, he is the best host ever! We loved everything there....so we definitely have to come back for more beautiful memories... :)

The staff were very welcoming and warm. Everyone, from the reception, to the restaurant and bar and to the cleaning ladies, they were all exceptionally friendly, smiling and nice. There were no questions or problems they could not address quickly and efficiently. The room was quiet and clean, overlooking a semi-private pool (which we had not booked). The all-inclusive meals were both varied and delicious, to cater for both local and international tastes. The chef de cuisine graciously took time twice to cook exclusively for our very fussy eater. The pools were surprisingly different, both in size and in depth. The beach (a five-minutes walk away) was a bit difficult to find on the first day, but it wholly made up for that with the service of the personnel. Our children loved the sea. This hotel is the best travelling experience we have had on the Mediterranean. The local public transport was reliable and easy to use (no taxis from or to the airport were necessary). The lovely people of Crete made us feel cherished and grateful to have met them. Thank you all for making our stay with you a wonderful experience.

    Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when there was a cold wind blowing and not all the places were open. However, there didn't seem to be many places to eat [not a problem for us as there was one excellent place, though would be a problem peak season] . There were a number of apparently abandoned and ill-maintained buildings, which made the place appear less attractive.

    The attention and care of staff was excellent, that helped to overlook minor imperfections. As a solo traveler I used to explore the island and enjoy the sights, people, fine smells of plants in the air, as I always do, mainly using a rented car.

    Reliable and frequent bus commute to the city centre, once you realise the bus changes its number on the way back (it's no 1 to the city and becomes no 6 on the way back - beats me!), and accept that there is always a traffic jam as you approach Heraklion. Allow good half an hour each way even though it's only 7 km. It's cheaper to buy a ticket at a supermarket rather than from a driver. There are mini markets open every day till late which is brilliant for those who arrive at late hours or weekenders. Quite peaceful in November. Petousis taverna was a major bonus, great food, nice atmosphere and not too crowded on weekdays. It gets really busy on weekends. Some other nice eateries nearby too.

    Everything was perfect and included with the hotel. Sandy beach front property, large clean pool and roomy accommodations. The bus comes every 15 minutes it stops in front of the hotel which was convenient. We used it instead of our car rental to visit the city center of Heraklion, not having to worry about finding parking.

    Beautiful tavernas with delicious food, reasonably priced. Beach is great for families, quite a few cafes with pools, great crepe place though I didn’t try any. Really lovely town, a bit busy on the road but as this runs to Heraklion it is extremely convenient for buses to other parts of Crete, such as Knossos. Our trip was only four days so we will visit there next time!

    I'm not sure we've got the room we've booked - Deluxe Double Room with Balcony. I can't say our room was anything like deluxe, but it was OK for a 1-night stay. The guy at the reception was very kind, as well as the lady at breakfast in the morning. The neighborhood is quiet, hotel has a private parking. Internet is amazing (comparing to other Crete accomodations). We would probably stay again, if we'd need an one or two nights stay in Heraklion.

    Ikaros suites was an amazing place to stay ! Our room was beautiful and felt very Greek. We loved how chilled and beautiful the hotel is. The pool area is so lovely and overlooks the mountains in the back. The staff were lovely and always on hand to help us. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of choice. We also ate lunch and dinner there as it was amazing- the best meal we had in Crete. We would definitely recommend Ikaros Suites.

    Our stay with my husband at Anna Studio was a true pleasure. The hosts are wonderful: warm, attentive and generous. Everything is impeccably clean. The hotel is located very close to the large Amoudara beach and numerous restaurants. What impressed us most, however, was the warm welcome and the personal care of Anna and Yanni. I highly recommend Anna Studio to anyone planning a holiday in Amoudara.

    The facilities were very good, with one main pool and two smaller pools. The hotel has its own substantial, sandy beach. The food is very good with a good selection of restaurants/snack bars at lunch time and to a slightly lesser extent in the evening. The staff are all friendly and helpful, reflecting the fact that it is a family run hotel.
