Kissamos is an excellent home base for trips to Balos and also for Elafonisi, much closer than Chania. There are also many restaurants along the beach in walking distance. We didn't swim there but it is possible. You might consider Falasarno for a few days for a beautiful beach with surf!

It’s a small town but we could enjoy walking along the beautiful beaches. There are some supermarkets so that we could get fresh vegetables and also fresh fish which were really tasty. There are a lot of buses and they are usually very on time. We could make our schedule smoothly and everything went super!

The place is very quiet and relaxing, especially during the dusk & the night where you can have your dinner in the big balcony & view all the stars in the sky, after a full day at the nearby beaches. Is a perfect location to visit west Crete, 15-20 min from the amazing Falassarna beach and 20 min from the parking place of the famous Balos beach. Also, it is less than 60 min to visit the unique Elafonisi beach.
I would definitely choose this villa again in my next visit to west Crete!

I can only rate this place five stars out of five, but that won't be enough. Everything exceeded our expectations: the location, very convenient to reach the most beautiful beaches of the island, the room on the third floor with an incredible sea view, but above all the friendliness of the family that owns the hotel, who made us feel at home. If you have the chance do not miss to enjoy a romantic dinner at the restaurant, great quality food and nice service.
Kissamos and this hotel will remain among the best memories of our vacation.
Our room was ready earlier so we could check in before our check in time. That was a pleasant surprise because we just wanted to drop of our luggage since we were too early. Very clean and big hotel room. Supernice stuff and great service. Delicious breakfastbuffet. Nice view to sea during breakfast. Very good location to get to different beaches. Plenty parking spaces on roadside. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Really exceptional stay. Will recommend it to everyone. I will definitely come again!

it’s a family run hotel. The 2 sisters are very friendly, welcoming, and kind. The room was very comfortable and large. there is a decent size parking lot in front of the hotel where we we’re always able to find parking. the beach is across the street and there is a strip of restaurants with view of the sea right next to the restaurant. in my opinion it is better than any other 2 star hotels I stayed in. it’s only about a 20 min drive from falasarna beach one of the best beaches in Crete.
Very happy with our stay at Mpoulakis Apartment. The house was very spacious and had all amenities. The location was great, close to the beach (with plenty of bars and restaurants), supermarket and coffeeshops and centre of Kissamos easily reachable on a 5/10 minutes walk.
Kyriakos is an excellent host. He definitely made our stay in Crete memorable with his many tips and recommendations on events, places to visit and restaurants to enjoy proper local cuisine.
With just five rooms the hotel provides a large private home like environment yet with plenty of privacy. Room balconies offer sweeping views of Gramvoussa Bay and are a few minutes walk from excellent traditional restaurants. Falasarna beach, rated one of the two most beautiful in Crete, is a 20 minute drive away.
The hotel manager was really kind, he fixed the light in our room after the regullar hour, printed our boarding pass and knew what to recommend us in the area. We had a balcony with view to the beach wich was amazing.

Great place to stay if you are exploring the many wonderful beaches of the northwest, west and southwestern parts of Crete. Perfect place for families and or multiple couples. Tania was great, had a few surprise goodies for us upon arrival. She was super nice.
