Lovely, helpful, friendly hosts, who try their best for their customers. From this town we went to Pachnes, the room had not been reserved on the climbing days. The hosts offered to leave our bags when we returned, the room was cleaned and we stayed another night. We recommend it to everyone who wants to admire the incredibly beautiful view of the mountains and feel the peace of this town. It has no shops or attractions. But it has three pubs and a road through valleys and mountains towards Pachnes. The bar, which is located to the right of the town statue, is staffed by a very friendly bar owner, who also cooks delicious food. If you decide to enjoy nature and stay in these apartments, visit this Cretan bar

The Hotel Neos Olamos was absolutely perfect. I stayed there after my walk through the White mountains and Samaria Gorge. In the morning, I missed the bus stop for the hotel and accidentally ended up at the gorge entrance with all my luggage! I contacted the hotel and the owner came to collect my bag and looked after it until I checked in that evening! Had two homemade soups there- so delicious! Breakfast was also perfect. All well priced. The room was very comfy and so clean. Location amazing in the mountains with lots of goats for company! And the hotel cat, kaneelo (probably spelt wrong!). Check out the church 5 mins down the road and learn about its importance in Crete’s colourful history! The best thing about Neos Omalos was the staff, they were all so lovely and helpful. Thank you! 😊

Very clean budget accommodation, large rooms, great value ... and close to the entrance of Samaria Gorge. The family run business gave me a lift to the Gorge entrance, approx 5 kms away.

We spent a week at the villa with another family and there was plenty of space for the 8 of us.The pool was a great size and the garden is beautiful. Nektaria and Nico were great hosts who recommended some lovely places to visit and eat. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to visit again in the future.

Great place! The room is separate from the main house, with its own private entrance and bathroom – more like a hotel room. Just 10 minutes from the city center. Very clean, spacious, and feels like a 5-star hotel. Definitely recommended!

A perfect choice to if your looking for a calm and relaxed location close to Chania. In a quiet village with a view of the valley this house had all the comforts we needed for our stay. The hosts are very friendly and helped us with anything we needed. The house is right next to a traditional tavern that serves great food and the village has also a small cafe.

Ideal for walking and experiencing a traditional Cretan village. The village is situated on the norther slopes of the White Mountains and is located on the bus route between Chania and the Samaria Gorge. The Gorge is about 15k from Lakkoi.
