Our experience at Casa della Grofica absolutely exceeded all expectations. I've visited Istria many times, but this was something completely different – not just a place to stay, but a deeply enchanting experience. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene beauty of the house and its surroundings. Every single detail, from the interior design to the carefully chosen amenities, feels lovingly curated and completely effortless. It’s rare to find a place where comfort and authenticity blend so seamlessly. The hosts deserve special praise – they are like gentle, attentive guardians of the house (or maybe fairies!) who are always there when you need them, without ever intruding. Their care and passion for hospitality is evident in everything they do. The photos online are beautiful, but the reality is even better: larger, more elegant, and more inviting. Every corner of the house has been designed with thought and soul – it feels like stepping into a dream you don’t want to wake up from. And the breakfast? Simply breathtaking. Freshly prepared eggs with truffles, warm, flaky pastries, homemade jams, creamy yogurt, seasonal fruits, and a mighty coffee machine to bring it all together. Every morning felt like a special occasion. We left with full hearts and a strong wish to return again. I hope this paradise continues to thrive for many years to come. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous! Loved the color combo and the look of it. Everything was very clean and brand new. There is a small terrace for 2. All of the basic cutlery was available, as a toaster, kettle, pans, dishes, etc... We also had some beverages and snacks given in the apartment. Aurora - the person who welcomed us, showed us around and gave us excellent restaurant options and what to do around Žminj and Istra. Free parking is provided in front the apartment as well. A lovely little place to stay if you wish to explore Žminj and all of Istra. Was a wonderful stay!¨

Lovely cottage attached to main residence. Daniel was informative and helpful on arrival and his sister answered questions online and made sure we could check-in smoothly. Daniel's wife helped us with laundry. Great people! Room was old town charm and perfect out in the countryside. Fresh eggs for breakfast!

Location was great, right outside Bale. It is a five minute drive to Bale, where you can get dinner. There are beautiful views from the large balcony, where you have a great view of the sunset. The host is very friendly and is happy to answers all questions with great detail. They live on site, so easy to contact and is physically there to check you in. The room was basic, but very clean with great strong air conditioning and comfy beds. The shower water pressure was excellent. Parking is easy and right in front of the guest house.

Everything was perfect. The apartment is new, beautiful and in a perfect condition. The kitchenette was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was spacious. We highly recommend this place.
