I stayed in Nusa Penida for 5 nights which I think 3 nights would have been better. Snorkelling with the manta rays was absolutely amazing and the east island tour was lovely. The only thing that was difficult was most beach points means climbing the mountain staircases 😳. Crystal beach was beautiful and you can drive all the way down to it.

Arrival to the ports on the west coast was a horror show. No Grab on the island so you’re forced to pay high taxi cost (200k) Need your own scooter to get around, but traffic can be scary and winding roads. Avoid the busy west coast and stick to the quieter and arguably more beautiful east and south coast. To be honest, I wouldn’t recommend visiting, I think there are far nicer places in and around Bali that are easier to get to and around, and more beautiful. I didn’t find the stay worth the inconvenience. It felt like the island has grown in popularity but its systems haven’t scaled up accordingly. The west coast was full of trash and stupid traffic and the sights were not worth it at all. Food however was good throughout our stay, and people were friendlyAAnonymousAustralia - Scored 8.08.0

Lovely island for diving and swimming, pretty quiet during the night. Highly recommend Divine divers for the best scuba experience with professional and friends staff. The 4-5 famous beaches are pretty awesome but be prepared to climb lots of trees in the hot sun. If you are a scuba diver, Manta point is a must!💙RalucaRomania - Scored 2.02.0

Nusa Penida needs better logistics for the amount of tourism coming in to the Island. I think this island is overrated in social media and you can't do anything there apart from visiting the crowded spots to take the pictures. There is only one small road that goes around all the island and not very well maintained so the traffic in the island is horrible and painful. Travelling with wheelie bags is MUST NOT, the island is very rustic and your pain will start as soon as you get off the boat as roads are not tarmac. So better to travel with a bagpack.

If ypu wish to have a trip in a car around all the points of interest you can stay for 1 or 2 nights in Penida otherwise you can easily dona day trip from mainland. Not recommended staying long here. If you wish have good access to the water and beach stay around cristal Bay

We loved the hotel so much that we didn't feel like going out. Our room had a private pool but we enjoyed the main pool, which is bigger than the ones in other hotels in Bali. The food was good with a special mention to the breakfast menu and the Chinese New Year dinner. Also the staff was nice with easy check-in and check-out.
