United KingdomDeerbrook was fantastic, beyond what we saw in pictures and read in previous reviews. The staff know hospitality and create a home away from home. The freshly cooked breakfast was a delight, with more food and tea offered in quick succession. Our son had his birthday during our stay and the staff went above and beyond to make his breakfast a celebration to start his day off with a bang.
Toby (B&B dog) was a bit hit with our son. The morning and evening hellos and good nights were a delight. Toby is so friendly and led us on our hike around the B&B. He will be missed by us all.
We can't thank you all enough, we will be recommending your B&B to everyone who is travelling to Ireland.

United StatesFacilities were clean and everyone very nice. Leisure center great, pool wonderful. Fyi everyone must wear swim caps which we did not know. You can purchase there for nominal fee. Breakfast was exceptional! Would recommend to all! Our family had an enjoyable trip!

Town centre a bit tired but castle and river walk was very pretty. We parked at Swiss Cottage and walked into town (20 mins). Later tried Galileo restaurant for Italian/European - was good food but take your own alcohol. Had drinks in Cahir Hotel. Old, historical building with a good bar area and some seating outside. We stopped in Cahir (pronounced "Care") because it was a convenient layover on a longer road trip. We were surprised by the beautiful and interesting Cahir Castle on an island in the river, with its extensive grounds and well-kept interior. The town is small-ish and not what I would call "bustling". Several of the shops were closed (maybe permanently) and the choices for places to stay or dine are quite limited. All said, I would recommend a stop for the castle alone - if it's convenient to stay the night, the Cahir House Hotel (possibly the only choice) is adequate, though long in the tooth and missing the grandeur it must have once been known for, and its attached pub is decent. We were awakened by the early morning drop-off (emphasis on the "drop) of many kegs outside of the hotel and the one other functioning pub in town just across the way.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 8.0
I liked the Castle.
I liked the Castle. We had dinner in Galiloes and the Galtee inn. There were a few places closed(as in most towns) Annswood was only 5 minutes drive away. We did a lot of hiking while we were there. Cahir is an interesting town with many places to visit.
Cahir is an interesting town with many places to visit. I particularly liked my walk around the castle, the walk along the river to the Swiss Cottage and my visit to the local Anglican church. Cahir is also close to both the Galtee Mountains and the Knockmealdowns, both of which are excellent for hiking. Cork is about 45minutes away and Waterford can be reached in about an hour. Nice and compact, with a very friendly vibe and plenty to see for a short stay. A great central location for the Tipperary and North Cork area. Places we ate and were really quite good. Dream Garden Chinese, the food was excellent and the owner was very attentive. MarBella Wood-Fired Pizza, is a take away van, excellence pizza and right next to the River Suir.
