The room was very cosy with a magnificent view on the bay. The hosts provided a nice breakfast in a shared kitchen which has separated places and fridges for the rental rooms. The hosts invested a considerable effort into the interior design to make everything feel very cosy. The location is very close to several very nice walks in the forest and on the seaside.

Wow, it is just breathtaking, especially if it is sunny.

Wow, it is just breathtaking, especially if it is sunny. Amazing beaches, restaurants, bay, boats, a little forest feeling near the pottery shop. Overall, I wanted to stay longer. Oh, by the way, there is a sauna cabin at the nearby beach. 10 euros for 30 minutes. It is a brilliant idea. I have never seen this in Ireland. It is so good with kids on the beach and nearby you can have the best playground with a beach view. Stunning Ireland. It is.

What wonderful people there are in Shanagarry.

What wonderful people there are in Shanagarry. On a Sunday night in September we attempted to get dinner in Ballycotton, only to discover that the two restaurants and the two bars stopped serving food at 8 o'clock. We returned to Shanagarry and stopped at Buckleys' Garage where we bought two sandwiches and two cups of tea. While paying we related our sorry tale to the owner. We sat in our car in the forecourt eating our supper feeling disappointed to have missed dinner. The owner came out and gave us a present of a bottle of wine to cheer us , he felt so sorry for us. We were deeply touched by his kindness. Well done and a sincere thanks for such a lovely gesture. These are the things that make a holiday, and indeed a country.
