Our room was superb with all the grandeur appropriate to a castle. The room was large and gracious. The spa bath was an unexpected bonus that added to the charm of our stay. The reception & dining area of the Castella di Altomonte is exquisite. These beautifully restored rooms exude style & quality. This was matched perfectly by the food. We really enjoyed talking to our host & this added to our thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Wonderful and charming location for this small and charming town hidden among the hills/mountains. Chiesa and Museo Civico more than worth to see. Hospitality and care by Giuseppe and the Castle owners is unforgetable. Great cuisine in the Castle Hotel for a nice dinner after the day !

Hosts spoke excellent English and were very friendly and welcoming. Room had a view of the distant mountains, the valley, and the old town. Old town is walking distance. Street parking directly across from the hotel. Good breakfast in the restaurant.

A lovely historic part of an 11th century castle…..but warm and comfortable. The position in the old citadel town of Altomonte and the views are stunning. The hotel staff are welcoming, and if you are driving there is safe parking.
