Danato was a fantastic host - kind, fun, accomodating, knowledgeable, generous, respectful, and a good cook. His property is amazingly beautiful and peaceful. The common building where we ate and hung out by the fire is cozy, welcoming, clean and comfortable, and the rooms are spacious and private. Danato's homemade wine is delicious. The location is such a beautiful place to get away from the cities and enjoy nature (we were there in the Spring). Bisaccia Nuovo and the near by hill towns are nice small and peaceful places to explore. Wifi worked well.

The property is newly furnished and is located near the center of town, but the best part about the property is the host! I speak very little Italian . Pino told us where to go for dinner because the owner speaks English. It was Gianluca e GiaMaria pizzeria on Via Mattinella. We were treated like we were old friends! I was looking for information about my great grandmother who was born there. Pino directed us to the town center where Michelangelo, Angela, and their staff are helping us! The woman at the small cafe at the top of the hill worked hard to understand us, and the next morning said “Good morning “! Lovely lady!! Beautiful property, beautiful town, and most importantly, beautiful people! Grazie!

The view at Agriturismo Casale Cerere is breathtaking. It is on a wheat farm surrounded by sprawling hillside farmland Irene, the owner of this B&B, greeted us with her 2 sheep dogs and roosters roaming the property. We were there to discover a little of our roots, but we got so much more. There are only 3 rooms at Casale Cerere so we booked all 3 Each room was a good size,clean,charming and all the comforts of a 4 star hotel. Irene went above and beyond by booking us reservations for lunch and dinner. Both of which were amazing. She also found us a driver, Potito,who stayed with us all day and showed us the charming town of Lacedonia. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. She served us pastries and eggs from her farm and our choice of coffee. Irene gifted us with a jar of her homemade fig spread from the fig tree on her property. The only regret we have is that we couldn't stay longer!

We had a lovely stay in Calitri! The pool was beautiful, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. It was the perfect place to relax, away from the crowds and large tourist areas.

Room (La Chiazza) was very nicely remodeled, very clean and comfortable with a great view from the hilltop. The staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was splendid. There is free parking nearby. Sant'Agata di Puglia is a wonderful village. I wish I could have stayed longer.

We loved this place. It was quiet, off the beaten path and had all that we needed. Italy is becoming so crowded it is so nice to come to a place that can be used as a base to see Matera for example, and find your home base in a picturesque environment. The restaurant serves incredible meals. There is a lot to do around there as well. There is a castle to visit and hike to find waterfalls. This place is a gem.
