Stayed at the Hotel Barsotti for 2 days in May when I was in town for a rowing competition and it was a great experience. The owner, Giosuè, is terrific - so friendly and warm (ask him about his sailing trophies in the lobby) and he and his staff were very helpful in offering advice on where to grab a bite to eat for dinner or where to head to the beach in the area. Rooms are simple but spotless. And breakfast had everything you needed. Be sure to have a pasticciotto. They get them from Lecce and they are some of the best I've had. Location was super convenient too. Nothing but good things to say!

Brindisi is located a short distance from many other attraction in the area, the location of the apartment close to the railway station was very convenient, and it was only a short walk to the sights, the owner of our apartment was very helpful and let us leave our Main luggage overnight whilst we visited another town.

Brindisi is a small city but I think two nights could easily be spent there. I think there are places to see in the vacinity using either a bike or on foot. Its also got a train station with links to many quaint towns on the coast such as Monopoli and Poligano di Mare. Will definitely fly back to Brindisi as the airport being small and quiet and very close to the town is a bonus.

Brindisi was a very pleasant discovery: with its rich historical past, its beautiful white stone streets overlooking the sea, the kindness of its inhabitants, the very good restaurants at excellent price, it’s really a place worth the stop and discovering before going to Lecce and the rest of Salento. Not to be missed!

Although the sea is magnificent and clean, the city beach is excellent. /// The city is very dirty, there is a lot of garbage, there are no roads, there are directions with very bad asphalt. Public transport operates on schedule, but be prepared that at any time, for example in the evening, there will simply be no flights. The drivers got tired of working and went on vacation. those. don't rely on transportation. For example, I had to walk to the airport. There is a driver strike and a lack of available taxis, but this of course does not depend on the hotel. The sights, for Italy, are very dull. Essentially the sea, a good center, a lot of cafes.

Nice, quiet town with some typical Pugliese features... cafeterias along the key, wine & cheese shops, cocktails, you name it.
Logistically convenient - ferry from/to Greece, airport, 1-hour train ride from Bari (with another, bigger airport).
We are planning to make it our second home!

Brindisi is a lovely small town, full of charm and beautiful views. You pretty much can cover everything in one day, leaving the remaining days for day trips to nearby locations. The only issue is that if you are not driving, you are not going to be able to fully experience all that this town has to offer. We personally took the train to Lecce, Gallipoli, Bari and Polignano a Mare. Food is excellent literally in EVERY PLACE. Totally recommend.
This accomodation was great and the owner is a very nice man. Is seems to be a weekend house of his family, offered in the season for the tourists. So, you will find there all you need, for example in the kitchen. The house is large, the village seems to be very safe place, even for small children out of your sight. The beaches are nearby, both the organised and natrual types. If you walk to the beach, you can see some mess, but the beach itself is clean (and we have seen that is being cleaned) and the sea is clean as well.
It has a very traditional vibe. For us it is definitely a nice and new kind of experience. I will also say whatever complaint you might have about the property itself, the host makes up for it a thousand times. He was extremely helpful and friendly, had recommendations for everything from beaches to restaurants, to how to get around. He also invited us for a glass of wine to his gift shop next to the property which was very nice. Also, it is in a very central location also, everything is in a max 7 minutes of walking.
Very close to the airport (although still best to drive/taxi, especially at night), host was very friendly and was waiting with keys and all the information when we arrived. Large apartment, 2 large beds in separate bedrooms, both with air conditioning. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. It is fairly easy to get to central Brindisi (and then Brindisi train station) by boat, and possible to walk to the beach. Both also possible by bus but buses unreliable.
you'll need a taxi to get to and from the airport terminal building or possibly there is a bus as the walk would be an impossibility with luggage despite being very close.
A reasonable beach for swimming within a 10 minute walk is a bonus.
3 restaurants within a 10 minute walk of mixed quality and price or you could buy things and eat in the kitchen at the b and b
The room is very clean, the jaccuzi and the shower are amazing. The bed is very comfortable. And the service is perfect, Giuseppe is a fabulous host !!
Its better than 4 stars hôtel we did in Italy !
