Set at an altitude of 2953 feet, B&B Sotto le Stelle is in the small town of Caltabellotta with beautiful views of the Sicilian countryside and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance. The accommodations are charming and beautifully decorated. The amenities were plentiful and well thought out. The extra outlets on both sides of the bed for charging multiple devices are particularly appreciated, as most places don’t have this. The owner is very friendly, helpful and accommodating breakfast is Italian (sweets: cakes, cookies, croissants, yogurt, fruit, coffees). If you prefer a savory breakfast, let him know the day before and he is happy to accommodate you. He also has a fabulous restaurant 20 meters away, Mates, that one must not miss! Exquisite Sicilian food! If you have a small group of people, you could ask him in advance to arrange a Sicilian cooking class. We highly recommended this B and B.

Located in Caltabellotta, Casa Arco Antico has accommodations with a flat-screen TV and a kitchen. Complimentary WiFi is offered. An oven and fridge are also featured, as well as a coffee machine. Delightful apartment - fully integrated into the village. A Caltabelotta experience! The village clings to the mountain - narrow twisty roads and a lot of climbing to get anywhere . Guests should be ready for that. It wasn't a problem for us but it could be for some., moving suitcases to and from the B and B is a bit of a lug, though the host was ready to offer help. Caltabelotta is about climbing and we loved that! It is unique and the views from the B and B are stunning!
Located in Caltabellotta in the Sicilia region, Casa Troccoli features a garden. Guests benefit from a terrace and a grill. Very welcoming hosts. They gave us a lot of fresh fruits from their garden, helped out with the barbecue and served us fresh coffee on arrival. It's a very nice, remote house in the middle of olive trees. There's really no noise out there.

Casa Dei Sogni B&B is located in Burgio. It offers accommodations with free WiFi and tea/coffee-making facilities. Antoinetta and Malcolm could not have been more welcoming. What a unique house (the view from the roof terrace is to die for) in the remote Sicilian countryside. Malcolm took us to and from the bus stop which is really a necessity with the hundreds of steps and narrow roads in Burgio. We had a lovely pancetta frittata for breakfast, a nice surprise while we were working in the afternoon of the best slice of lemon cake I have ever had, and shared an authentic Sicilian dinner (and various digestifs!) with A and M (and an aunt and uncle). Although I can speak enough Italian to get by, conversing in English was really needed to navigate the labyrinth of streets. I would highly recommend Casa dei Sogni if you venture out to this remote village.

Stayed at Casa Mule for 2 nights. Weather didn't cooperate as I got a lot of fog and rain. Location of Casa Mule was right next to Pizzo di Caltabellotta and Chiesa Madre. Owners were very nice but didn't speak english. Room was nice but I had a roof leak the first night and got moved upstairs to another larger room. Hot water barely lasted long enough to wash my hair let alone get a shower. WiFi worked downstairs but not upstairs in my room. Nice view of the town though from the window. I visited in November so there were very few tourists. The only open restaurant was too far to walk to but I did find an open "Bar" (Bar Randazzo) that had pizza and other items plus wonderful pastries. The hike up to Pizzo di Caltabellotta can be strenuous if you're not in shape. Highly recommend having a hiking stick as the trail is a bit overgrown in areas. Great views from the top. Also suggest taking Via S. Pelligreno down to the other side of town instead of driving the very narrow road through town. Great vantage points there to photograph the town and mountain. I would love to return if the weather cooperated.
Locals in Caltabellotta seemed to not be used to seeing foreigners (I'm Asian). Some local kids hurled racial slurs at me and old ladies literally peeked out their windows to stare at us walking around. It was the weirdest thing ever. Caltabellotta itself is maybe worth a daytrip but not a longer stay. Definitely eat at MATES if you do decide to go
Stunning views. Fascinating mountain village to walk around. MATES Restaurant owned by same family as B&B excellent Traditional Sicilian Feast. Printed walking guides needed for village and immediate locality to encourage more walkers and ramblers.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location is stunning, amongst olive and orange groves, wonderful views in every direction. Our evening meal there was excellent, a lot of typical Sicilian dishes and home produced wine and olives and olive oil. All delicious. As was breakfast. We stayed one night during a cycle tour of Sicily, a long climb up to the property but well worth it!

We may not have utilized the facilities to the fullest extent since we spent all our time with relatives in Caltabellotta and only slept at the property. It had a nice big deck and a beautiful view. It would have been nice to maybe have a table and chairs on the deck to spend time on.
