the owner's where fabulous and so attentive that they treated us like family and made our trip there so beautiful and memorable. A stay like no other and views of the countryside was so wonderful. The food was very good, a place to go back and spend more time. You will diffidently love this place.
The cafe /bar/ restuarant called Momento was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was simply amazing ! The best place I have been to in Italy for aperol spritz ( and I've tried a few !) Foggia itself was dissappointing. We arrived on Friday : the museum was closed until Monday, the Park was closed until the evening, the Basillica was closed. I expected the shops to be closed for siesta but even many cafes and bars were too! I asked at a newspaper stand ( just as he was closing) if I could buy a map of Foggia - He told me 'no - who comes to Foggia ?' I am sure if Foggia made a little effort it could get on the visitor map, unfortunetly at the moment if seems as if they can't be bothered.
We used Foggia as a jump point for Vieste. Trained in from Padova, picked up a car and then trained on to Napoli. Very convenient. Interesting little town. The area near the station is a bit run down but the rest of the town is attractive and we had a couple of excellent meals there.
Foggia is an interesting large town but be aware it has a bit of a crime problem. You're unlikely to be robbed, but don't walk around with your bag open and anything really valuable is probably best left in the hotel safe. There are some streets that at night, you can walk down, but you probably don't want to linger for long... you get people trying to sell you illegal substances and so on... you find the same thing in Rome, I know, but just to point out that Foggia is not as "peaceful" as many towns in Puglia you can visit. There are, it has to be said, many prettier towns to visit in Puglia (Martina Franca, for instance, or Brindisi, or Otranto) and if you want a city, Bari and Lecce are more sophisticated and prettier (especially Lecce).
Foggia was intended to be a one night stop between Naples and Bari. So, arrived & found (lateish in the afternoon) a menu del dia at Osteria Numero dieci. Purea di fave taglitelle; and then could not resist the remaining 'fish' on the menu- octopus with potatoes. Add in bread, wine and coffee...€10. That evening the Osteria was fully booked inside...and some were sitting outside....and I started there but thought perhaps I could I find somewhere a little warmer for my food. And so I did.
A very casual friendly place, and it hasn't been invaded by tourism. It's easy to walk to where you want to go. It's a refreshing change to just enjoy the culture without rushing from one ' must see' to another.
Foggia
Everything, the place is a few meters from a guarded parking lot which was indicated to us by the host. It's been a rich and worthwhile stay even just for one night. The b&b has a careful attention to details from check in to check out. The only suggestion would be that to update the pictures here on booking of the other rooms and bathroom. Thank you Dora and Walter, Michaela and Luca A presto.
The hotel is really quite nice, large comfortable rooms, good breakfast and an excellent location. The problem was that I was there on business and couldn’t access the internet my entire stay. If I am looking to spend a few days relaxing I would definitely stay again but if for business again I would have to find somewhere else.
Foggia
Great experience in Villa Borghese! Staff very nice and welcoming, clean and well organized structure, and the best of the best is the breakfast, with every day some local food surprises: focaccia, pizza pugliese, ricotta, mozzarelle freche and amazing croissant from an awarded pastry shop in Foggia!
Foggia
The room was very comfortable. The bed was soft and had many soft pillows. Every room in the hotel is different, mine was British themed. Good breakfast served in the bedroom at the time you desire. Very good location, walkable distance to the train station. The hotel is very new, spotless clean.
Foggia
This property is about eight minutes walk from Foggia central station. It is exceptionally well designed. It is also clean and there is a self-help breakfast. You also have use of the kitchen and basically you are sharing with other guests
Outskirts of the city, only for travellers with a car. Very simple, old hotel, do not expect much comfort and you will not leave disappointed. Late arrival is not a problem. Good parking. Internet worked well. Poor TV signal.
Foggia
I would say everything! The Arts, cozy rooms, relaxing WC and not to mention the most friendly staff I have met in Italy! the location of this B&B is strategically perfect for travellers!
Foggia
I loved the location, the room, the acces system and the specially the staff. One of the best possible locations in Foggia. Close to the Train Station and close to the downtown.

Foggia
The location was brilliant! All cafeterias jus outside. In a heart of Foggia!
Great hotel. Ac was just adequate.
The room was a generous size with perfect bed and pillows. It was cold in Foggia, and the heat in the room worked well. Host showed us the security features and made sure we understood how everything worked. He recommended an excellent nearby restaurant (San Giorgio) and even showed us how parking payment works. The building and room are very secure.
Foggia
The staff went out of their way to get us something to eat when we arrived later than expected. The hotel and gardens are absolutely stunning.
Foggia
Very nice accommodation conditions with modern room but also clasic italian building. Staff was frendly and helpful.
After a week in Italy, this was easily the best breakfast of the week.
