Beautiful island with wild beaches and unique atmosphere. It can get crowded in August and you will definitely need a car (or scooter) to access some of the most interesting places. Lots of very interesting military history and abandoned fortresses.

La Maddalena is an amazing place if you want a relaxing holiday focusing on beaches and nature. We spent there about a week and everyday went to a different beach, and every new beach was more beautiful than previous one!
There is a beautiful marine life, so bring your snorkeling gear! It was one of the biggest reasons we chose La Maddalena for holiday, and it exceeded our expectations! The best beaches for snorkeling where at La Caprera. Just swim next to the rocky edges of the beach, and you can find all the colorful fish there (also rogues and squids).

The best place in Sardinia.
The best place in Sardinia. Cute Italian town with picturesque houses, great restaurants and the best gelato. We loved going from beach to beach, they all possess different qualities, but they are all lovely with the bluest water I’ve seen. You definitely need a car or a Vespa to get the best experience. Taking a boat trip for a day is also a must! Would strongly recommend spending a few days in La Maddalena!

The waters surrounding La Maddalena are stunning, the closest to the Caribbean I have experienced in the Mediterranean. La Maddalena is relatively small and easy to get around with a car. Depending on where you are staying, beaches may be within walking distance. Sailing or other boating outings highly recommended to truly enjoy all the islands have to offer.

La Maddalena is such a beautiful island, loved the geology of the island and felt very comfortable in the town. We also spent a day on Isola do Caprera and though this was incredibly beautiful too - such stunning beaches, great walks and remarkable historical sites.

We were there 4 nights.
We were there 4 nights. We ate at the "off the beaten track" restaurants and a couple little pubs. It's easy to get around on foot or by car. Research boat tours before going, I think I would book a small sailboat tour next time as opposed to a large boat. A car is helpful to getting around the Island and visiting different beaches.

Everything picture perfect. I nearly never rate 10/10, but this appartment is special! Completely new outdoor kitchen, comfortable beds, a nice garden and we especially loved the hidden secrets („the rock“, a really sublime private viewpoint accesible from the garden. Contact with the owner was also completely easy! We will come back 💯 when back in La Maddalena!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here in La Maddalena. The owner met us at our car and carried our heavy cases to the accommodation and back again when we left ❤️ The room were very clean and in a cute, quiet street just 5 minutes walk into the town and 12 minutes walk to the port. We loved our stay here and La Maddalena is a true to all the insta posts 😎

We were expecting much more- it is named luxury room but there were no tea pot or coffee, sugar - we came from different luxury room in Baunei and this room was equipped with everything.
The man who let us in did not speak english...
