A small an older town around the beautiful Lake, perhaps making this one of the most quaint and special towns to visit. The buildings are not modern or massive, nor does it have the bells and whistles of villas around Como, however it is special in that it holds the true Italian history and architecture, the old restaurants (with incredible food!), as well as the plethora of tiny shops dotted around the centre. The lakeside is the real winner here though and in my opinion, the best 'beach' of all the towns. The water is crystal clear and the shore wide enough to lounge on. There are many restuarants along the shoreline too which adds a nice ambience. The Castle is majestive and offers some of the best views around the entire Lake. Simply put, this is a hidden gem and one that HAS TO be on your list when visiting Lago di Garda.AviSouth Africa - Scored 1010
We attend a wedding while here for a week.
We attend a wedding while here for a week. We did the cable cars which were amazing and I would recommend if you wake up and it’s sunny do it that day. There’s spectacular views from up there , you can also eat & drink up there or take your own picnic and enjoy the paragliders jumping off. Catch the water taxis to different places for the day. Lot& lots & lots of places to eat & drink fabulous food.

So beautiful place! It was a quite long way with a full bus, but it was worth it in the end because Malcesine has really beautiful scenery. I went swiming in the lake and climbed mountains. Other towns were easy to visit with the ferry. I visit Riva del Garda on a day trip.

Went to malcesine on 2 occasions during our stay in Italy. Stayed at Hotel Internationale and then came on ferry to explore the castle. Town is busy with tourists but plenty of reasonably priced restaurants with amazing views. Narrow cobbled streets. Castle definitely worth going to and to climb steep steps to top gives an amazing panoramic view of lake and mountains. Likewise the cable car to the top of Monte Baldo. Great Service from everyone at the hotel from Front desk , Owners, waiters and waitress. Amazing views, Delicious breakfast every morning! Room were cleaned every day. Very nice pool with unforgettable views. Plenty of parking spot under grapes trees ( Amazing ). We have room with balcony facing the street and the views of Lake Garda and the mountain, It was gorgeous! Highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you all hotel staffs and all members.

An extraordinary city located directly on lake garda with a beautiful cityscape and lot's of good, though a bit pricy restaurant. Also an easy access to the mountains for joyful and also serious hikeing is available thanks to a cable car.
