We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel! The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything you need. The staff is friendly, always ready to help and answer any questions. Booked at short notice due to a change of travel plan. The bus driver from the airport explained its easy to find and it was 11 pm, walking under Mestre rail track then 10 mins from there and Google map didn't let me down. I rang the bell and a gent opened the door and showed me to my single room. The bathroom was adjacent to my room so it was easy to lock my door and use the facilities. It was spotless. The bedding and towel, the TV air conditioning, unlike larger hostels I've stayed in where they are well used and not so clean. This bathroom was so clean. The room wasn't large, but it was ideal for me, and it had a sink with mirror so I could clean my teeth and spend less time in the shared bathroom. I had a look at the common room and kitchen. It looked ideal, especially for solo or small group. It seems to be in a residential area, and I felt safe walking the streets to it late at night.

Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice. Nobody travels to that region to see Marghera, obviously Venice is the attraction. Our cruise was departing and returning to Marghera. This is why we stayed there.

Marghera is very close and accessible to the center of Venice. The neighborhood is pleasant and quiet, and yet, stores and transportation are very close by. Restaurant are also close, but it was nice to have breakfast at Dear Venice Bed and Breakfast.

The hotel was only a short walk to the railway station which was a priority for me as I took the train to main island of Venice everyday of my stay. I felt safe walking back to the hotel at night on my own.

Great place to stay if you want to visit Venice on the cheap...

Great place to stay if you want to visit Venice on the cheap. There was a lovely pizzeria down the road called 'Pizzeria Al Calesse'. They did the best pizzas and Italian food we eat on our stay. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. Great value and amazing food. Also, there was a lovely English style pub called 'MARCIANO PUB MARGHERA', which did many beers and served burgers.

Hotel Roma was where my partner and I stayed.

Hotel Roma was where my partner and I stayed. We felt it was perfect for what we came to Marghera for - to visit Venice. If you want to stay close to Venice, but not actually IN Venice, this hotel was perfect for that. It's a 1-2 block walk away from the closest bus stop to get you in/out of Venice without the hustle and bustle of a tourist hotspot. The complimentary breakfast was also worth waking up early for.
