Located along Messina's main shopping street, 1.2 mi from the G. Martino Hospital, Vmaison Hotel features air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant and a terrace. Breakfast was plentiful, well exposed and of excellent taste. The room is spacious and very clean. Very comfortable bed with extremely clean sheets.
Located just 656 feet from Messina Port, Hotel S. Elia offers spacious and elegant rooms with air conditioning. The S. Elia Hotel is decorated in a Liberty style and features antique furniture. The staff was excellent, we got a great recommendation for a local restaurant for dinner. Great breakfast at the hotel, too.
Europa Palace Hotel offers free parking and air-conditioned rooms with LCD TV. The accommodation was very good, breakfast was wonderful, huge choices and yes, eggs and bacon were provided, a nice change from other Italian hotel breakfasts. Parking was very good, also a nice change from other accommodations we had stayed at.
Relax in the spacious, comfortable rooms of Hotel Royal Palace, set just 328 feet from Messina train station and the ferries to the Italian mainland and the Eolian Islands. Large room, great location near shopping and the train station, fantastic breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds.
Located in Messina, an 11-minute walk from University of Messina and 500 yards from Messina Cathedral, Re Vittorio De Luxe provides accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning, a bar and a shared... The city was devastated by an earthquake in 1908. Everything is rebuild. From the small hills downtown (with churches on top) you have great views of the strait. It is worth going to see the Duomo that resisted in part and the archeology and art museum with the 2 Caravaggio paintings. One night stay with a full day is plenty of time to do everything.
We enjoyed Messina, the view, and the very friendly, people there, but we got horribly lost twice for long periods of time due to the layout and lack of good mobile data in-spite of using Google Maps, Waize, and Rome2Rio. We could have used a map but could not find a Tourist Information office.
Messina is my ancestral home so it was lovely to see the old part of the city. Messina is pretty modern in that the streets are wide with ample traffic lights (makes crossing the streets easy). It is a clean city with a lot of really nice restaurants and bars. The old city is so interesting, the main Cathedral has a truly magnificent clock tower. Every day at 12 noon the clock tower puts on an amazing show!
Messina is a fishing village when you first enter but once you get into the metropolis you will see a beautiful city center with the amazing Duomo Cathedral and Tower. An unexpected pleasant surprise was that every day at noon the lion at the top of the tower roars 3 times, the angels ring the bells , they the rooster crows 3 times and then the angels rotate around as they play Ave Maria. It is truly something spectacular to behold. There are some other beautiful churches to visit and a monastery for the blessed mother.
Unexpected to find this nice little town. Beautiful central square and s great gelateria near it. We only stayed here to catch the ferry across to Calabria in the am, but we enjoyed it! Had s great evening meal, stayed in an inexpensive but clean and nice B&B and had a great pistachio sorbet for breakfast! Loved sitting in the central square with its exquisite churches in the evening
The views and food and people are great. Was bit disappointed that some areas were not kept cleaner. I would hope the municipality would see the importance of keeping the city cleaner! Had a great visit!!

Very clean and spacious. Excellent croissant and coffee at a neighborhood cafe’. Close to the ferry for travel to Italy and easy access to City center, which is quite a long walk, but on a wide, paved exercise path. Good view of the sea from the lower unit. Free parking across the street from the building. Guiseppe, the owner, was very helpful and met us with keys and details for our stay.

Nicola was so helpful! He was really resposive to our messages and answered every question. Very kind and warm hearted man, he knows a lot about Sicily in general so he gave nice suggestions for our trip. We liked the location in quiet neighbourhood. You have to have a car though to drive around. The room was spacious, nice, clean bathroom. In general we liked and would recommend.

After travelling more than 10 years all over Italy, I can honestly say this is the best b&b I have ever seen. It's new, clean, bright, modern - it's luxurious in every aspect. The situation in perfect just in the middle of everything in Messina) Special mention to the personel - the all did everything to feel you welcome (fresh omeletes!)
