Located in Monte Isola in the Lombardy region, Casadina features a balcony and garden views. The air-conditioned accommodations is 27 mi from Borno. What a beautiful apartment! It’s gorgeously, modernly renovated. We loved having treats on the balcony overlooking the stone walkways of town. Corina was an absolute doll in meeting us and showing us in. She even had a plan worked out for us to leave our luggage so we could enjoy the island after checkout. We especially enjoyed riding the bikes provided around the island, particularly since we were in the off season and commercial bike rentals wouldn’t have been available. Corina saw us riding the next day and stopped on her scooter to talk to us. What a freindly person and place!
Appartamento "La Collina" is located in Monte Isola and offers a restaurant, a bar and a terrace. The air-conditioned property is 27 miles from Borno. Our stay at La Collino couldn't be better. The apartment was spotlessly clean, Nadia and the staff couldn't have been any nicer. The location was perfect. Definitely recommend!
Located in Monte Isola, 28 miles from Borno, B&B Tina provides a bar and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a hairdryer, free toiletries and shower. Tina's (Faustina is her full name) B&B is located on the shore of Monte Isola, the largest inhabited lake island in Europe. The only motorized traffic permitted is small motorbikes and the occasional small laborer's van or public transport van. Therefore, you have wonderful quiet as well as spectacular views of the lake and the opposing mainland. The B&B is in Siviano, where you also find the town hall of the island, a restaurant, Tina's café, where you have breakfast, a butcher selling the local sausage (recommended, keeps well), and a grocery. The buses are frequent and cheap. If you find yourself in some corner of the island after a good dinner of local fresh fish with no bus back to Tina's, her son Giuseppe will pick you up in his (permitted) little van for a very reasonable price. If you want quiet, a mountain lake, fresh fish, idyllic villages, and the chance of climbing a thousand feet or so to the sanctuary on top of the island, this is for you. At a very good price.
La Perla offers fully equipped apartments in the island of Monte Isola, in Lake Iseo. Guests enjoy use of a shared swimming pool. Fabio and his team are amazing and make you part of their family. My family of 7 felt completely at home. The pool is amazing, the location is close to shopping which is important being that you are on a car free island. And if you need to go somewhere by car, Fabio is more than happy to take you. Wifi works everywhere.

IseoLakeRental - La Stallina - Monte Isola is located in Siviano, 1640 feet from the ferry port and a 10-minute walk from the center. Beautiful place. Very quiet. I would like to go back.
After a couple of weeks in the big cities of Italy, Monte Isola was a perfect change of pace. The parks were relaxing and the restaurants were all amazing! Everyone was so hospitable, despite our lack of Italian. The treks to and from different areas were more strenuous, especially in the heat and humidity, than expected. But, the bus was reasonable and easy to use. And, best of all, for self-proclaimed “foodies,” we really loved the fresh fish, pizza, & pasta! (Vittoria, La Torre, & Al Campel respectively.) We appreciated finding this gem where few people were tourists, especially in the more northern towns of the island.
Little hidden gem .dont want anyone else to know about it so that it doesn’t become as busy as garda. Hired a beautiful boat from eccole arechetti and would definitely recommend. We visited Verona for the arena opera and Garda to visit sirmione and the Roman ruins. So sad to be leaving x
The island is well worth visiting and great for r&r. We enjoyed walking to the top of the hill and hiring bikes to cycle the perimeter. There where plenty of restaurants to keep us satisfied for 4 evenings.
mone isola (in september) is like visiting italy in the 1950s - everything and everyone is italian, and it is so calm and so uncrowded. on the island, the 3 little medieval hill towns (cure, masse, and olzano high above on the mountaintop are delightful, as is colzano, on the north tip, which is the chicest spot with an upscalae restaurnat - the lagonda. there are frequent vans running all over the island to use to get around so one is never isolated in one area, one need not stay in perchiera (the main port) which is not the nicest spot. also, all of the coastal villages have ports where stop the lake boats. it is possible to take a boat from siviano to iseo, another on to lovere at the north end of the lake, and then another after lunch there back to monte isola - for a day cruise (13.50 euro with a all-day ticket). spend time wandering amongst the terraced olive orchards in the hilly center on the island enjoying the views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Monte Isola is an island on the lake with 11 small villages. You will find few restaurants and cafes. Perfect for a quiet getaway since there are no cars on the Island. Island has picturesque country views. The people are friendly and polite.
A quiet island on Lake Iseo in the north of Italy. Mainly frequented by Italians, this is a gem of a location surrounded by clear, warm waters, which provide relaxing swimming. Cars are banned from the island (but watch out for the scooters) with an excellent minibus that covers all the villages. The island has an abundance of trails around it, connecting villages (away from the narrow roads) and through the woods. A rich selection of trees inc.wild cherry, fig, chestnut, hazelnut and mountain ash provide plenty of fruits and berries to eat. The climb up to the church of the Santuario della Madonna della Ceriola at the zenith of the highest part of the island, is a bit of a trek if you start from the lake but a bus service can take you most of the way. There are many churches dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries with wonderful frescoes and paintings inside. Great cafes and small restaurants serve great pizzas, cappuchini and vino rosso! If you want nightclubs and wild nights go elsewhere. This is a romantic, tranquil and idyllic place.
