Treviso a city for 1 day to explore but a great place to explore other cities like Venice or Padova.good means of transport:trains and buses.great shopping.Italian clothes boutiques.great Italian food shop with delicious Italian local specialities.they close the shopfrom 1 pm.to 6 pm.a lot of shops have a break during noon.a small pizza place to get a piece of pizza for 3 euro across the street from Continental hotel
Treviso is handy for Venice and flights into Treviso are generally cheaper than those into Venice itself. Airport tends to be very busy in mornings when there are too many departures in too short a time. Efficient and frequent trains connect to Venice in 20 mins. $4 per person. Italrail has a very easy-to-use web page to buy tix, Taxis around Treviso come in at around 10-12 euros. The centre has many good restaurants.
Very charming old city centre on the net of many channels of river Sile is a hidden jewel however in the shade of neighboring Venice. Worth visiting. Many choices for restaurants. Convenient parking facilities.
Treviso is a small town. During my stay here I visited Venice, Verona and Padova. During my visit to Treviso there was a high level of pollution, especially in the evening. After two days I had a sore throat from the smoke.
I think Treviso is a good base if you were flying in there. Get the Treviso AirLink bus for £4 that drops you at the train station in town. However the train connections from Mestre are better - with 13 platforms you can see it's a big junction. Train fares are very cheap compared to the UK - from Treviso £3.50 to Venice 40 minutes away and £7 to Vicenza about an hour's ride. Say 20% of UK prices, and cleaner, faster, newer. With these distances the busses are really no cheaper. From Treviso a train trip to Belluno just into the Dolomites would be a good excusion. The mountains are 20 miles to the Norgh and Belluno is about 40 miles away - so it's a mountain town. Treviso is a small town with very little to do in the evening in November and by 9.00 pretty much closed up. So stay in Venice and get a late train or bus back. I think Mestre is a better option for the train and bus connections and it's much bigger than Treviso. Vicenza is very nice and feel's less touristy than the Venice area - so worth consideration. To me Vicenza looked like it had better shops, bars, and restuarants. It's one train to Venice about 50 minutes away fo about £6 single.
Very nice city, not only as a springboard for Venice. The whole city is intertwined with rivers and water flows, lots of historic buildings and great restaurants. Stay there and take the train to Venice - easier than going by car.
We were there for one night before flying out from Treviso Airport. We were really just looking for a decent place to sleep. The staff at the front desk were great, as we checked in around 11 PM and checked out at 5.45 AM. Even got a complimentary espresso! The room was a decent size, definitely enough for us. The drive there from Venice, based on Google Maps, took us through some shady areas, especially as it was 10-11 PM, but it was a 30 minute drive from Venice and a 10-15 minute drive to the airport.
The bed was super comfortable and the TV was good with a great selection of channels. Located very close to Treviso airport which made our trip home the following day stress free especially with the late check out time 12pm. We didn't use the pool so we can't comment. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of food, something for everyone. On site underground parking l I would have scored this hotel a 9 if it wasnt for the smell in the roon.
Treviso
A perfect accommodation is in a perfect and beautiful location. It located in the heart of Treviso close to shoppings, restaurants and public transports. It is in a noisy, bustling area, but nevertheless it can provide complete relaxation Monic was exceptional host, she helped us with Information about the travel to the airport and she taked care for our the coffee. I would absolutely recommend this appartement for your vacation in Treviso, Venice or Padua
Treviso
Excellent Hotel, brand new, located in the city centre of Treviso with a large public parking close by. The room is really nice, well equipped with a silent air-conditioning. The bathroom has a large shower box, very comfortable. Definitely I will come back to taste the coffee machine with the complementary coffee cups the host makes available.
We arrived later in Treviso and spent one night in this hotel before moving to Venice. It is a simple hotel, the room was big and clean, it includes a minibar which was very useful to keep refrigerated water during summer time. The taxi to the airport is around €20 and to the train station is around €15 which in general is quite cheap.
Since our stay was short and we had to check out early, the receptionist was kind enough to upgrade our room. Our room had a large terrace And was on the 4th floor. She took care of everything for us so that we would not need to check out. Room was spacious and modern. View from the balcony was pleasant as you could see Treviso centre.
Treviso
Very nice host, modern apartment, very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, right in the centre and close to train and buss stations for anyone who doesn't have a car and want to visit Venice and other places. Close proximity to secure car park that only cost €7 per day.
This friendly hotel was only a 15 minute walk into the exciting city centre of Treviso. We were able to immediately store our E-bikes under cover and go and explore Treviso properly. Our room was more than adequate - quiet, modern and comfortable. We slept well that night.
Treviso
Eleonora - one of the nicest person we have ever met! She was very helpful and made our stay uncomplicated. The apartment is in the very city centre. There are many restaurants and cafes close to the place, but it is not noisy at all. I recommend the place and the city!
Treviso
The room was lovely also the kitchen/dining room. Samantha, the host, also charming and helpful. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the medieval city centre and a few minutes drive from the airport. If I ever need to stay in Treviso again I'll come back here.
Family business, they are nice and helpful people. Price is fair and location is not bad, if someone is willing to take a 15 minutes walk to the city centre, basically it's okay. The train station and airport are very close.
Treviso
The hotel is very conveniently located right across from the Treviso airport. I'm not sure why else you would stay here other than if you have an early morning flight like I did.
Great location minutes from the train station and airport bus, but only a short walk into the historic centre. Friendly staff, good breakfast choices, immaculately clean.
Treviso
