The Poggiomanente is set in an ancient windmill surrounded by a beautiful garden, with swimming pool and views on the Umbrian hills. The breakfast was very good, with an excellent choice of items and good coffee. Even better was the restaurant, where we ate three dinners and, with an Italian friend, one lunch. All were excellent, both the cuisine and as a value for the money. Our server was very attentive and suggested several excellent local wines, all very fairly priced and each beautifully appropriate to the meal at hand.

With an outdoor pool and children’s playground, Agriturismo Monte Acuto offers accommodations on an organic farm specializing in grains and olive oil. WiFi is free in all areas. Super place to stay up in the hills near Umbertide. We stayed during Covid restrictions and were unable to eat out in the evening. This is the only reason we felt the kitchen could have had a microwave and more cooking facilities but otherwise it was perfect!!

Located in Umbertide, Camere Sotto le Stelle is 1476 feet from the Tiber River. It offers attic rooms with dormer windows, a flat-screen TV and wooden floors. The owner, Lamberto and his wife were absolutely impressive and went way out of their way to assist any needs I had. I will be back again.

"CASA ROSI" Affittacamere o Appartamento in Esclusiva trequattrozerotrentatretrediciseiquattrouno is located in Umbertide and offers a bar, a shared lounge and a garden. Casa Rosi was a palace compared to my usual stays! I found this place last minute as I was looking desperatly for a place where to spend the night which allowed me to take my bike (I am on a bike touring trip on my own) to the closest bike shop for some urgent repeirments. The price was too much for one person, but the cheapest in all the area, but the apartment was originally for 6 people max, so it would have been cheap to share! The host was super kind and friendly, always very patient with my situation. The house is very clean, modern and central. I had a wonderful night of peace and recharge. Very recommended!!

Although Umbertide is not the most picturesque of Italian towns, it has everything you need and the people are friendly. The best pizzas in town are at The Golden Saloon (don’t be put off by the name!) and a little further towards the old town on the corner there is a qwerky bar with amazing hot chocolate!
Cute little town. Very easy to navigate around. Wonderful Wednesday open market with fresh veggies, fruits, honey, cheeses , olives, fresh eggs and chickens too!! I enjoyed it a lot. Great food too!!! Even the train station serves a great espresso!!!
It's not a true tourist area but is a good base to visit the many surrounding places that are, such as Assisi, Perugia, Montone etc. There is not a great deal of English spoken there but we managed thanks to translating Apps.

Everything. The pool, the view, the garden and the house... all amazing for the given price. Plenty of room for kids, and also space around the pool is very important. The pool is cleaned up every morning. There are only few houses around so you have your privacy. The nature around is almost untouched, beautiful. Perugia is very near, Siena 1,5h of drive. Both cheap to eat, drink and buy holiday gifts. Weather is very pleasant, warm but also a bit windy which is perfect.
Gubbio
The elegant simplicity of the accommodations is perfection. The staff was warm helpful and knowledgeable, never intrusive. The kitchen and wine cellar are excellent. The tiny bar is delightful. The views (from our room, the swimming pools and dinning are) across the Umbrian hills are exquisite.

Lovely old building, easy to find and lots of parking. Very nice pool and useful to have a restaurant on site. We meant to explore Umbertide but stayed at the hotel instead as we were tired and it was a nice environment. Pizza was good too!
