Great views. Great trip. Only disappointment is the blue "lake" in Nakadake Crater. All the pictures show the "lake" while to my understanding it was destroyed during the 2016 earthquake. It was what drawn my attention to this location to begin with, so it was disappointing not seeing it. Very clean good size room. Very modern and newly renovated . No food on site except for vending machine and instant noodles but Lawsons is across the road and train station across the road. Most restaurants close early in Aso so go early and get the hotel to book for you! If not, buy from Lawsons and use the shared kitchenette at level 1 of hotel.
