Location was decent, quite close to the subway and 7-Eleven (supermarket). The rooms were clean and quite spacious. I liked the lobby and especially the free coffee which was there throughout the day along with bread and orange juice!

Staff was exceptionally attentive but was never over-attentive. They were friendly welcoming and just formal enough. Also, very easy to deal with if there was ever a question about a technicality. The hotel itself was absolutely stunning. I felt like it's own world within Kyoto.

The location is very good, the buffet-style breakfast offers a variety of food, and the customer service is excellent. The staff speaks multiple languages. We asked for a little something for our daughter, who was celebrating her birthday during our stay, and the hotel prepared a nice note with sweets and a souvenir. Our daughter was delighted by the attention.
