After 2 weeks in Africa, this was our one and only experience where we truly felt in the African Savanah!! The location is stunning, with the views of Kilimanjaro and the Savannah spreading in front of you!! It is also a small camp, meaning it does feel like a true safari experience and not a hotel vibe as it all other lodges we stayed at!! And the best, all that with the comfort of a cozy bed and warm showers!!! And for a very reasonable price point!! We highly recommend the Little Amanya Camp!!

You have to book the cabin! Wow, this is such an amazing stay. It’s very private located, you have the whole place for yourself. Brian is an amazing host who can organize everything for you: motorbike safari, Amboseli jeep safari and a great hike with himself nearby the Kilimanjaro. The view of the Kilimanjaro is breathtaking, every morning when we woke up we were stunned. Oloitokitok is 3,5 kilometers from the cabin. You can buy fruits and vegetables there at the market / mini supermarket. There is also a restaurant which can deliver food. Just ask Brian for the options! Thank you for having us Brian! We enjoyed the 4 days a lot and can’t wait to be back!

My stay was excellent,Jane the owner is super helpful, we needed to top up our gas for game drive the following day. Jane got it delivered to us at the camp. The team there is super always informing you they are there In case of any queries. I had a bad headache due to driving in the sun I was given a pain killer from their first aid box. In general they exceeded my expectations. I would recommend wild ndovu Camp to anyone traveller. The place is only 6km from Amboseli Iremito gate. Jane gives you very detailed direction and supports it with photos. Thank you Jane and your team I'm definitely coming back.

I was looking for a place that would give me a great view of Kilimanjaro right from the premise. When I found this little place I knew this was it. I stayed here for almost a week and right from my garden - and even from my little cottage when I opened the curtains - I had a mindblowing front row view of one of the most spectacular mountains in the world. Just for this, my stay here was already a success. But I ended up loving everything else as well. A friendly driver Sam drove me out there all the way from Nairobi and we had a lot of fun talks. Once at the camp, I felt immediately at home. I had often heard a lot of postive things mentioned about the host Brian in reviews before I left and I'm happy to agree that he is the best. He made my whole stay a wonderful experience. Together we had great talks and fun adventures in Amboseli. I tried nearly all of the tours and they were great. From a bush walk with Brian where we spotted giraffe, to a great hike we did through the forrest. Then there was a fantastic safari through Amboseli NP with Manuel, where within 5 minutes I already witnessed the iconic view of elephants in front of Kilimanjaro. Shoutout to little Sam, who went with Brian and myself on a mountainbike ride that ended up being quite the adventure. Speaking of adventures, Benson took me on a motorbike safari and we ended up finding wild elephants, it was magical. The camp was a bit secluded, but it was not problem, because I had a different and delicous breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared for me daily by the amazing cook Sam. Yes, that is the third Sam I encountered here and they were all great :) I can go on and on about this place, but suffice to say they helped me create beautiful memories that I will never forget! Highly recommended if you want a more authentic experience that you might not get in the more luxurious high-end resorts I think.

This was my second visit to Amboseli, home of the Jumbos!

This was my second visit to Amboseli, home of the Jumbos! It is THE place to see plenty of elephant activity in the morning and evening. Saw lions last time, but not this time - but did see other big cats - cheetahs having lunch. There are a couple of Maasai villages open to visitors (for a price) just outside the park.

There is an overwhelming mountain, Mt.Kilimanjaro, in the Amboseli area. If you stay for a couple of days, you will see various views here, although it depends on the season and weather. Weather permitting, you can see out-of-this-world views.

Amboseli is one of my favourite parks, it is diverse, it has fantastic wildlife and simply amazing birdlife, you can wonder off onto the plains to stay in amongst the marshes watching the most fantastic sightings, it really is very lovely. I was very pleasantly surprised, by other drivers on this trip, the were respectful of your line of sight, they never went off the road and were very polite, what a refreshing change. Then the staff on the gates were really very helpful, they were fun and guided us well, we came in at Meshanani and out at Kimana both were really good experiences. The loos at both gates were also very clean, a bit plus in my book

The variety of animals was great.

The variety of animals was great. The elephants were amazing--the highlight of the trip. Elephants is what you go to Amboseli to see, really! Due to the size of the park, the restriction against off-roading, and the poor conditions of some roads after the rains, visitors should go into the trip with the expectation to see big cats--finding them is really a matter of luck. But the other animals make up for this.

Coming from Maasai Mara, game drives were not as intense and rich, mainly due to different rules. For example off-roading isn't allowed, so if you see a lion further away, that will be the only way to enjoy it, because you can't approach it. Overall it is also less lush and green than Mara, but it is unique in it's own way. What makes it beautiful is the view of Kilimanjaro, swamps full of birds and bathing elephants. Dust-friendly clothes and a scarf to cover the face are highly recommended as it was extremely dusty at times.

Amboseli is the perfect place to see lots of elephants!

Amboseli is the perfect place to see lots of elephants! There’s a marsh / swamp in the park and many elephant herds are taking baths and enjoying the water. Elephants are roaming around freely too so will see them often. There are hippos in the marsh / swamp too. Besides elephants, I saw giraffes, impalas, zebras, wildebeest and Cape Buffalo. Lions are in the park too, but wasn’t able to see them during my visit. The sky and sun through the clouds is absolutely stunning too!
