The location could not be better. It looks exactly like the pictures. It is quite a touristic place, but we didn’t mind. We loved it.

Everything about their home is perfect! It’s so close to the best entrance of Sinharaja. Beautiful home next to the river with sparkling clean rooms. No AC is not a problem because the temperatures are comfortable and even chilly at night. The best part is the hospitality Gunarathna and his family show, so friendly and accommodating. Always offering tea and inviting me to help cook dinner was an experience I’ll remember. Gunarathna is a guide in a the reserve and his sons offered to take me around the village and waterfall. So great! Lovely experience

Amazing location, super close to Lankangama entrance of the Sinharaja Forest. Loved sitting on the patio in the evenings and listening to the birds and watching butterflies. Lahiru and his parents took very good care of me during my stay. They can help arrange a taxi or help guide you on the bus to/from (what I did). It was so helpful to have him tell me which buses I could take. Loved how comfortable the bed was and everything was very clean. One of the best bathrooms I’ve had during my time in Sri Lanka! Had Ana amazing stay, couldn’t have asked for better experience as a solo traveler.

I recently stayed at Mist of Sinharaja and truly enjoyed the experience. The location is absolutely stunning — surrounded by lush rainforest and the calming sound of waterfalls. It’s the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was delicious, especially the local Sri Lankan dishes prepared fresh for us. My room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the greenery. Reaching the property takes a bit of effort since it’s deep inside nature, but that’s part of its charm. Overall, it’s a wonderful eco lodge for anyone looking for peace, nature, and genuine hospitality.

This is an exceptional property! THE place to stay especially for birdwatchers with birds easily seen from a three way viewing area above the restaurant as well as outside the rooms and gardens. The manager makes the place, always smiling and attentive to every detail making sure everyone’s stay is the best. You can walk to the world heritage site park and the birding jeep tours pick you up at the gate with your packed breakfast. Meals were excellent and the quality well known to others with people seeking out their restaurant for the great the great food. I highly recommend it. I stayed 6 nights and would recommend 3 or 4 to enjoy the area.

The Rainforest Hideaway has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Deniyaya. Featuring a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a water park.

Extremely friendly and helpful family that will welcome you and make you feel at ease as they will take care of everything you need.
